It was a sunny saturday morning. The guys woke up and went downstairs to eat breakfast. Luke's mom was making waffles. Luke hated when she made food for his friends, because he felt like a kid (he would much more prefer to cook himself). The boys didn't mind it, though. They loved his mom's meals. Ashton would often stop at Luke's to take some homemade snacks before going back home.

They sat down. Luke's mom put 4 plates full of waffles down on the table. She then also put maple syrup and "Nutella".

- Here you go, boys! Enjoy! - She said. Michael smiled at her.

- Thank you!- Calum and Michael said.

The group soon became full. Ashton leaned back on his chair and unbuttoned his jeans.

Luke's mom turned on the TV and sat down on the couch.

- Mom, where's dad? It's like,- Luke glanced at the clock on the wall,- ten in the morning. Shouldn't he be awake already?

- You and your friends were very loud, he didn't get to sleep enough.

Michael cringed at how he made himself look like a fool in front of Luke's dad. "What the hell was I thinking?" He thought. Calum chuckled at his friend.

- What's up?

- Nothing, just, you know. Thinking about how I'll forever be seen by Luke's parents as that one kid who pissed himself.- Michael sighed.

- OH,- Calum snorted loudly,- Right, oh my god. That's so fucking funny,- he was barely holding back, -I'm sorry!

Michael just glared at the guy and frowned. He turned his gaze to Luke, who was bantering with his mom.

- Look, that was just like, for a few minutes? Dad woke up and then went to sleep? Why do you guys blow everything out of proportion?

- Michael peed himself. It needed to be blown out of proportion. Even I wouldn't sleep if I'd seen a scene like that.

Luke smiled for a second, but his seriousness didn't go away.

- Well..

- Yeah. That's enough. Ask your friend to talk with his parents about it or something, because I don't want you inviting people whose bladders are out of control.- His mom told him.

The boy looked at her with his bottom lip moving to add something, but he just nodded.

Luke told Michael to never ever pull something like that. In his opinion, that could cost him losing his house privileges, like coming over whenever he wants. Calum defended Michael, because he thought it was smart of him to think so fast of an excuse, disgusting or not.

- I'll just wear diapers when coming over now, I guess.- Michael snickered. Luke calmed down and smirked.

- Yea, mom's gonna ask you to show if you're actually wearing them.- He laughed. Michael and Ashton laughed, too.

Calum came back home after an hour or two of sitting around with his friends at Luke's. When he opened the front door, a pleasant, sweet smell went by his nose. He smiled.

Mom's cooking pancakes.

He hanged his jacket in the hallway closet and glanced at the mirror next to it. Calum's hair was messy, although, very effortlesly. He pouted at his reflection.

He entered the kitchen and saw his mom facing the stove. He hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her left shoulder. She was way shorter than Calum, so he had to hunch a bit.

- This smells so good, ma.

- I know, they're almost ready!- She said.

She took the pancakes out of the pan and put them on a big plate next to the stove. There were so many pancakes that Calum couldn't count. They were stacked on top of each other, some even sliding off. He stopped the ones sliding and repositioned them in a better way.

- Where's dad?

His mom was taking out two plates out of one of the cabins. She placed the food on them and served it to Calum and herself. She sat in front of him.

- He's watching the TV in the bedroom.

- Oh, okay.

Conversations between Calum and his parents seemed to be embarassingly awkward. He never knew what to say to them, kept lots of things secret. Nonetheless, he knew that mom and dad loves him dearly. He didn't feel uncomfortable about it.

Finished eating, he went to his room and closed the door shut. The boy took a deep sigh.

- Home sweet home. Or room.- he murmured to himself.

Calum's room was untidy, but in a way that it looks aesthetically pleasing. There was a balcony to the left mostly used for sneaking out. The walls were plastered in plain white wallpaper, covered with posters of his favourite bands.
His king sized bed was facing the balcony, soaking in the sun. On the unmade bed was a closed laptop decorated in quirky stickers. There were piles of books surrounding the bed, some piles were on the wooden desk.

He slumped against the matress and opened his computer. Calum was destined to find out more about the mystery girl, well, now known as Nikki.

"This isn't stalking, right?" he thought to himself. "Eh."

It was already dark outside. Calum finished looking for information once he found her childhood photos. He found something he didn't expect.

- ..Huh?
