~two-month time skip~

6 weeks ago you received an Email from Marvel Studios in which they gave you all the necessary information about your character and the lines you have to say in the audition. You've studied hard for this, like insanely hard since you definitely didn't have the intention to fuck anything up. When you took a little break from learning to embody your character you thought about how you've never studied so hard for anything in your life. When you went to school you couldn't give less fucks about your grades as long as you graduated, which you did 4 months ago. Then for the other little characters you played, you didn't study hard for because they weren't important characters like, ever.

But this. This is important and you were insanely nervous.

You had exactly two days left until you had your audition and your nerves weren't playing along anymore. This was living hell. While you were waiting you were going through your character again, trying to become her and have her mindset, which is unbelievably hard since you were the complete opposite of her but it was worth a try.

They only added one more character to the story, which is why you couldn't even be picked for another character because you would fit better. No. One character. Thousands of people. And you were for real thinking you'll be talented enough. Back to the character.

Her name is Amelia June Griffin.

She is the goddess of death and her powers are mostly the ability to overload another's mind causing pain, memory loss, lack of consciousness, vegetative state, or death. In short, this woman is powerful dude. You didn't get a lot about her past, since she doesn't know where she's from and is on her own since she can remember. She's getting stronger the more you read. She taught everything she can do with her powers herself and is also able to read minds and teleport. Adjectives that describe her are strong, confident, sassy, ambitious, outgoing but still a little introverted and she has trust issues since she never had anyone to trust. See, the complete opposite of you except the trust issues.

Her hair is Y/h/c and her eyes are Y/e/c which are pretty much the only things that matched with you.

After you've probably read through this ten more times you decided to go to sleep so you could just get this over with.

Today is the big day. Even though you've learned and rehearsed for it like crazy you were too nervous to even step out of your room. It's also 6 in the morning since you needed to be there at 8 o'clock so you'll be on time. You got out of your bed and into the shower.

After you stepped out you did your hair deciding if you wanted to do curls or straight and you assumed to someone badass, straight fits a bit better and you were praying you weren't wrong this time. You put on light makeup and a bit of eyeliner to make your Y/e/c eyes pop out a bit. Then you put on your all-black outfit since it's the best to look pretty neutral in an audition so they can imagine you in your costume a bit better. You went downstairs to be greeted by your, again, overexcited family.

"Are you excited?" your sister asked you.

"More nervous I guess," you answered and you weren't lying. God, you're shaking.

"I know you can do it, honey, we believe in you!" your mom said reassuringly.

You smiled. That's new.

Your dad looked at you, looking happy that he finally got a smile from you again saying,

"It's been a while."

You looked at the clock, 7:15 a.m.

"I think we should go now I really don't want to be late."

You all rushed over into the car and drove off.

30 minutes later you arrived at your destination and your social anxiety was already kicking in when you saw how many people were waiting to audition.

'Dang that's a lot'

When you got out of the car you felt a bit more comfortable as you saw your mom giving you a warm smile. You made your way into the building and went to the reception to get your number. The woman gave you a quick smile and a little sticker with your name and number 12 on it.

'Wait 12? That's pretty early, isn't it? Well I'll get it over with as soon as possible'

You went into the waiting room and took a seat where your family was already seated.

"Forgot to say that you look amazing girl," your sister whispered in your ear.

"Thanks," you said slightly smiling at her.

"Y/n Y/l/n! Number 12!" you heard a woman shout through the mass of people talking in the room. You took a deep breath, got up, and walked as confidently as possible.

"Hello Miss Y/l/n, please follow me in the audition room. Just so you know they're all friendly and kind people. No need to be afraid or nervous. And if you mess up, they'll let you do it again. Trust me there's no need to freak out."

"Okay, thanks a lot," you knew she said that to everyone here and she'll be saying that a thousand more times but that didn't matter to you, at that moment you just felt a strong wave of relief wash over you.

She stopped in her tracks, turned around to look at you, wished you good luck, and opened the door for you to enter.

You were greeted by five friendly-looking faces. Three women and two men.

"So you are Y/n Y/l/n, 19 years old, from Y/h/t and, as far as I see here, with some experience in acting already. Interesting," she looked up at you, smiling warmly. You were nodding your head in agreement with everything she just said.

"Should I start?" you asked not knowing what to do because normally you were the one to introduce yourself and it kind of caught you off guard that it was different this time.

"Yeah sure, Jonathan will read the part of Captain America and I will read the part of Tony Stark," a man said whose name is Phil, you supposed since the little name tag on the desk in front of him said that. You nodded your head and waited for them to start with the scene.

~time skip to after the scene~

A sigh of pure relief left your mouth, being happy that you got it right on your first try and did pretty a good job.

"Thank you for your audition Y/n, you'll hear from us," Phil said with a smile.

"Goodbye," you said, exiting the room. Staying still for a second while closing your eyes, taking in what just happened.

"Hey how did it go?" the woman who brought you here stood next to you.

"Damn you scared the shit out of me," you said laughing a bit, putting your hand on your chest to feel your heart rate.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to," she said laughing too.

"It went pretty good and I only needed one try."

"Sounds good," she said while you started walking back to your parents who waited, looking very impatient to finally ask you how it went. When they saw you they all jumped up from their seats and started running to you.

"How was it?"

"Do you have a good feeling?"

"Do you think you got it?"

"Were they nice?"

"What did they say?"

'And there my social energy goes

Not wanting to even answer one of these questions you turned around and just gave them an annoyed,

 "It was good."
