CHAPTER NO.8 (Dylan)

I ran after her and called out, "Anna! Wait!"

But she didn't turned back. She just sat in her car and went away. I just stayed there starring.

I came back and saw that the food I ordered was here. I picked up the burger and started eating it. Then I paid the bill and ordered the waiter to pack the second burger.

I went back to my home. I was so tired that I just laid down on the bed and went to sleep.

In the morning I woke up and washed my face and then cleaned it with the towel. I got ready because I had to go somewhere today. I opened the door of the house and saw my guard talking with a person in a black suit. I quickly closed the door and went and hid under the table.

My guard came in and I saw someone with him. They came in and stood beside the table under which I was hiding. The man with my guard said, "Are you going according to the plan?"

"Yes sir."

"Good. And I asked you to kill that 'Tom' family. Have you done that?"

"Well sir I haven't did that myself but I asked someone else to do it but yes sir I did it."

"Good. And what about that Dylan? Make sure that he can't get in our way."

"Yes sir. I will make sure that he won't get in our way."

There were some chairs ahead of me. I moved forward so that I could hear clearly. When I moved forward, those chairs also moved and they made a sound.

Oops!

I came out from under the table and started running towards the door. I heard the man, "Go get him."

I ran out of the house and went and sat in the car. I put the key in the ignition and started the car. I drived the car fastly. I looked at the side mirror and saw another car chasing me. Somone from that car took out a pistol from the window and fired it. The side mirror of my car broke and glass scattered everywhere. Then another shot was fired and the back mirror of my car also broke. Glass was everywhere to be seen. Then suddenly I saw the police car in front of me. I immediately stooped my car. The police officer came and said, "Why are you driving the car this fast? Don't you know the rules of driving? Didn't your parents taught you the rules?"

"Someone is chasing me."

"So what? Now give me the fine."

The police officer charged me a fine and I paid it. I looked back and saw the police officer also stopped the car of the person who was chasing me.

I went to the workshop to fix my car. They fixed my car in two hours.

'Anna should be off from school now. I should go and say sorry to her. But will she forgive me? Ugh! Stupid me. I should think before speaking anything.

I went to her school. After reaching there I saw so many students who were getting in the bus. I got out from the car. I saw Anna going in the bus. I ran to her and grabbed her arm. She turned around and looked at me and said, "Dylan! What are you doing here?"

I replied, "I need to talk."

"Yeah! Please keep your words to yourself. I don't want to hear your stupid things. Now go away and leave me alone." She said angrily and released her arm from my grip.

"No please. Just listen to me."

"You should have cared about my feelings. How can you even judge someone's family like that?"

"I am sorry. Okay? It was a mistake."

"Mistake? Right! What type of mistake was that?

"I am sorry. Please! I know I made a mistake and I am sorry for that."

What happened there?" She said while pointing on my head.

I said, "That is what I am trying to tell you. Please just listen to me."

"Okay okay. I will liten to whatever you want to say. Now say whatever you want to because I don't have much time. I need to go home too."

I know she was still angry.

I took her on the other side and said, "It's a long story so I will drop you off to your house and we will talk about it on the way. Okay?"

"What! How can I just go home with you? My parents are going to kill me."

"Just say to them that we are classmates and the bus was filled so I had to come with me. Or just make up a story."

"You are a total stranger. I can't come with you."

"Anna! Don't make up some lame excuses."

"What! I am not making lame excuses."

"Can you please control your anger?"

"No I can't."

"Well then you have to. Please calm down."

She took a deep breath and said,

"Okay."

Both of us got in the car and I started driving."

She asked, "So what happened?"

I told her all the story about how my guard betrayed me and how I got the cut on my head. She was so shocked to hear that.

Then I said, "I am really sorry for the words I said last night. I shouldn't have said those words. I am sorry."

"It's okay. I also shouldn't have ran away like that. And I would love to join your team. And I would love to be your partner."

"Really?" I asked surprisingly.

She replied, "Yes! I wouldn't have said yes unless if it wouldn't have been for that murder in the bakery. After that I really want to solve these cases. I know it's not my job but what's wrong in giving it a try."

"Great. Then I will tell my teacher about it and he would be so happy te hear that."

"Yeah."

We reached Anna's home. She took out something from her bag and I saw that it was a bandage.

She pasted that bandage on my cut and said, "Take care of yourself because there is a scary person in your company."

I didn't said anything because I just got frozen there. I was just so shocked. She gave me a smile and got out from the car.
