School makes me really tired but glad I didn't got a lot of homework today. And the most exciting thing was that today was off from tuition.

I was about to go to sleep when my phone vibrated. I picked it up and saw a text from Dylan. I opened it:

Hi! We haven't seen eachother for like almost a week so I was thinking if we could go somewhere tonight. What do you think?

I replied

It's a great idea. But where will we go?

He said

We will go to the restaurant near by my house for dinner and it will be my treat. You should be there at 8:00 pm. Don't be late. See you there

I don't know why but I was really missing him the last few days.

*********

My eyes flew open and I stood up. I picked up the phone to see the time. It was 7:30 pm.

'Oh No! I am going to be late.'

I hurriedly stood up and changed my clothes. Now I was wearing a green blouse with black pants and black sneakers. I tied my hair in a ponytail and fixed my bangs and took out a bag and now I was ready to go. I picked up the car keys and went to the restaurant.

I reached there after ten minutes. I got out from the car and went in. I looked here and there but couldn't find Dylan. So I decided to choose a table myself. I went and sat down on the table which was on the right end of the restaurant.

I ordered a pizza with some drinks.

Five minutes went by but no one came so I took out my phone and started using it. I don't know how much time passed when suddenly someone said,
"I am surprised to see you here. How much time have you waited?"

I looked up and saw Dylan.
"You are late."

"I know. You haven't answered my question."

"Oh! I don't know. I couldn't keep track of time."

He sat on the chair in front of me and put his hands on the table. He looked at me and asked, "How are your studies going?"

"They are going fine. I don't know why but I am tired of going to school. I still have to study for 5 years. School is boring."

"Don't you have any friends?"

"No!"

"What about Luna?"

"She is mostly with Lisa. They are friends for a long time."

"So just make Lisa your friend so that you can hang out with them."

"I can't. She hates me. She fears that I will steal Luna from her."

"Wierd. Anyways let's just talk about something else. Have you ordered the food?"

"Yes! I have ordered pizza and some drinks. If you wamt something else you can order it."

"No no I can go with the pizza."

"As you say so. So how's your life going?"

"Fine I guess. Living with my mom is a hard thing."

"Oh! When will she go back?"

"I don't know. I never asked her."

"Don't worry. If you need my help I will always be there for you." I smiled.

He didn't smiled back and it was the first time when he didn't smiled back. I could see the sadness in his eyes. I know he is not going to tell whatever the problem is.

The smile faded away from my face.

The pizza was there and we ate it silently. I finsihed my slice and drank the cold drink.

Both of us were done and soon the bill was there. Dylan paid the bill. I picked my bag and came out of the restaurant. I was about to leave when Dylan from behind some,
"Shall we go for a walk?"

I turned around and said,
"Sure."

We started walking on the footpath.

It was 10:00 pm and most of the shops were closed.

He said, "You never told me why are you scared of heights?"

"I was 10 back then when one day I was looking down from the roof of my house. I was just watching some people outside the house who were fighting on some papers. My cousin came from behind and he pushed me and I fell from the roof. But I didn't got hurt as there was a pool in the garden and I fell in the water. I couldn't say anything to my cousin as he was a kid. And of course I couldn't swim. I was about to be drowned when my dad saved me but I don't really have a fear of drowning. From that day on I am scared of heights."

"Oh."

"I also have a question for you. Where is your father? I mean you haven't mentioned him in any of your talks. Whenever you talk about your family you never mention him."

"I haven't seen him in years. I don't know where is he now or what is he doing."

"But where did he go? Did he vanished?"

"Not exactly but he actually left our family from the day my sister died. I haven't seen him after that day. I really want to find him and ask him what did I do wrong that he left me all alone. I was having no one back then. I became a detective because I really want to find him and I know I will find him one day."

"Do you think he will be here in London?"

"Maybe. Besides I haven't seen the whole of London so who knows."

Suddenly his phone started ringing. He took it out and recieved the call.

He said, "Hello! I am coming."

Then he put his phone back and said to me,
"I need to go. My mother is calling me. Bye."

He started walking towards his car and left and for the first time I really didn't wanted him to leave.

The cold wind started blowing and there was no one on the road except for me. It felt like as if the whole city has fallen asleep.

I was standing there all alone.
