Devimon: "You have failed me.."

Leomon: "I'm sorry master"

Ogremon: "We almost had them Devimon and then just-"

Ogremon goes to stand up, but devimon grabs him by the throat and lifts him into the air.

Ogremon: "No wait I can explain!"

Devimon: "Spare me your excuses"

Ogremon: "Yes master!.. please just put me down.."

Devimon scoffs, and tosses ogremon back to the floor.

Ogremon: "Thank you..."

From a distance, a gust of wind blew away a few leaves.

Renamon is seen jumping from tree to tree, being careful of how she stepped.

Renamon: "so that's why he's not after y/n. Devimon was more worried about the others. Possibly because I, nor patamon have yet to gain the power to become champion"

Renamon comes to a stop, landing on the ground with a hum.

Renamon: "but since ogremon and brainwashed leomon failed.. could only mean one thing"

Renamon's ear twitched, as a cough distracts her from her thoughts. Going into a sprint, renamon dashes towards a cave, which held the source of the coughing inside. Y/n, covering his mouth, leans against the cave wall.

Renamon rushes in, and slides to a stop in front of y/n, gently shaking him.

Renamon: "y/n! Hey, it's ok partner. Calm down"

Y/n's eyes burst open, filled with tears. Seeing renamon, he immediately threw himself into her for a hug.

Renamon: "it's ok y/n.. it was just a dream"

Y/n goes quiet, apart from the occasional sniffle.

Renamon: "better?"

Y/n: "mhm.."

Renamon: "good.. it was just a dream y/n. Whatever it was, it won't hurt you"

Y/n: "o-ok..."

A sudden rumbling caught their attention, as renamon gently sets y/n again the cave wall, before standing up.

Renamon: "y/n, stay here. I'll go check it out"

Renamon once again dashed off, leaving y/n alone in the cave once more.

To preoccupy himself, he grabbed a nearby stick, and started smacking it against the ground with a rhythm.

Eventually, the sounds of footsteps got y/n's attention, as he stood up to greet who he presumed was renamon. But instead, it was a small purple looking digimon, donned with red gloves and bandana.

Seeing as it's not renamon, and instead a digimon that's shorter then he is, y/n sits back down, and went back to his rhythmatic beating.
