Joshua wakes up suddenly, feeling all cold yet sweating profusely. Woke up from a nightmare that had been haunting him ever since the accident. An accident which almost kills him and his daughter when his husband is not there. He looks at the clock, it's already 7 pm.
"Seungcheol should be back soon."
A sudden bright light flashing followed by a loud crash of thunder startled him, then he heard a loud wailing coming from little Hani's room. The thunder rolled overhead like the fury of the god, Hani must be so terrified. It has been raining for awhile and Joshua didn't notice it. He quickly walks towards little Hani's room. Hearing from afar, a voice already hoarse from all the crying. As soon as he arrived, Hani's little chubby face was red from all the wailing. She was immediately picked up in the safety of Joshua's arms, calming her tiny heart down.

"Cheol, is that you?" Joshua yells out when he heard the sound of a door being closed. When there's no reply, he immediately shrugged it off. Probably it's the wind knocking on something.
When she finally calms down they went downstairs together, hearing Hani's laughter once in a while when Joshua is blowing raspberries on her round tummy. The storm had calmed down a bit yet the bright flashes still come to scare them once in a while. When they reached the kitchen, Joshua placed Hani on her tall chair near the dining table then took a peek at the clock hanging on the living room's wall.
"Oh, it's already 7:30. Papa is going to make a simple dinner for Appa now since it's a bit too late to make a heavy dinner. Rice, omelettes and some side dishes. That should be enough."
Joshua rings up someone to keep Hani entertained. After a few 'beep' sounds were heard, the video call was finally connected.
"Where is my favourite girl?! Hyung, show me show me!"
"Jungkook, calm down. I'm going to make a quick dinner so can you and Taehyung keep her distracted for a while?"
"Is that even a question? Hurry up! I need to see my favourite baby girl!"
Joshua chuckles and hurries to put the phone onto the stand, far from Hani's reach but enough for Jungkook to see her and Joshua who's in the kitchen. Joshua continues to cook while humming a few songs, he smiles everytime he hears Hani's bright laughter. Taehyung is probably doing something silly again. As Joshua was washing some vegetables at the sink, he almost swears he saw something pass by the window. He shivers at the thought of a ghost but then continues to do his work. It's probably nothing right? That is until he heard Hani suddenly crying and sounds of cooing from her Jungkook. What's wrong this time?
"Taehyung, for the last time I warn you, don't put on your scary faces. She doesn't like it." Joshua said without turning his back, still washing the vegetables. But when Hani doesn't stop crying, he knows that something went wrong. He wipes his hands dry on the kitchen towel before going to attend Hani.
