Fuyuhiko's POV

I awoke to the sound of some dipshit tripping outside my cottage. Groaning, I got up to go yell at them. To my surprise, it was Hinata.
"Can you quiet down a little bit? I'm trying to take a fuckin nap!" I snapped.
"Ah.. yeah. I was just chasing Souda-kun." Hinata stood back up, brushing himself off. "He found out a secret of mine and said he would tell... uh.. someone." For some reason he hesitated, but I ain't the type to judge.
"Oookkkayyyy... well is there anything I can do to help?" Goddammit. I'm a bit fragile around him. God.. I just want to nap.
"Uh. No.." He laughed a little bit. "Well I have to go! S-see you soon, Kuzuryuu-kun!"

That was weird. He seemed tensed up. To be honest, I don't know why he didn't want help from someone as strong-willed as me. I could beat the shit out of Souda, easily!

Hinata may just be too stupid to make the right decisions.
"..Not excepting my invitation... yeah right.." I mumbled to myself.
That settles it! I'm following him.
I could still see him running in the distance, so I just snuck behind him. He ran to the central island. Eventually, he ran to the beach on the second island. I have no goddamn idea where he's running to. Eventually, he stopped behind the beach house. Apparently, Hinata had finally found Souda.

"....what..."
I heard them talking.
"Heh... don't... me...!" I could barely hear what the fuck they're talking about. To help him, I need to know what's going on. I snuck a bit closer to them, to the point where I could hear their conversation perfectly. I had placed myself at the corner closest to the part of the wall they're by.
"What do you mean don't get mad at you?! You said you'd tell him!"
So this person is a guy. I wonder..
"Calm down a second! I was joking!" Souda laughed like he was being put at gunshot. I wouldn't be surprised if he was, honestly.
"Yeah right, like I'm going to believe that." Hinata sounded extremely pissed. "You were going to tell him."
"Come on! I'm your friend, I won't tell him you like him!"
So.. Hinata is gay? I'm not surprised, he's given me that vibe from day one. I wonder who he could possibly like, considering all the dumbasses we have as classmates. Souda and Tanaka are both huge dumbasses but they're fine I guess. It can't be Souda though, obviously.
"So.. you made that much of an effort just to fool me?" I could hear the anger rising in Hinata's tone. It's not that smart of Souda to piss him off like this.
"Yeah.. it was kinda funny—" Souda was cut off by the sound of a crash and his own self screaming. "Ow.. that was uncalled for!"
"Oh it was definitely called for."
I heard Souda make a wussy sound, like he always does.
"So.." Hinata continued. "How about you never do that again?"
"Yeah.. I guess I'll be quiet about this. The fact you like baby gangsta is safe with me, always!"

My heart pounded with overwhelming emotions. He never gave off that vibe towards me. I guess he did a good job of hiding it.
Everything spun around me.
"Ugh.. goddammit. What the hell.."
I feel so.. heavy. Slowly, I sunk to the sand, my face in my hand. Everything feels surreal. I don't know why but.. it does. To be honest, I've always thought he had a thing for Chiaki or even Nagito..
I'll have to tell Peko about this when I see her next.

"Sh. Someone could've been listening." My head perked up.
"Does he know I'm here..?"
"Sorry, sorry! I'm just still in shock, man!" Souda shouted annoyingly at the top of his lungs.
"...yeah." Hinata sounded quite enthused.
"Well.. I better get going! Miss Sonia awaits!" Ugh. I'm annoyed by that dumbass just listening to him.
"Don't lie. You're going to see Tanaka-kun, are you?"
"Heheh.. maybe?" I heard Souda start running. Flinching, I ran and hid inside.
I don't even think he came around the corner I was at. I opened the door, stepping outside. Sighing, I stepped out into the sand.

"What a waste of time..-"

"Kuzuryuu-kun!"
Shit.
"H-hey.. Hinata." I avoided eye contact with everything I had. Can't afford to meet eyes with this bastard after hearing that fact.
"How long have you been here..? I thought you would've gone back to napping." Hinata asked, confused.
"Oh.. I-"
..don't think I can tell him the truth.
"Funny story, I was bored so I decided to ask Peko to do something with me but- she's busy so I'm just here looking for someone to uh- hang out with." I told him, smiling awkwardly.
"Okay..? Well, good luck then." He started to walk off, but some idiotic part of me decided to stop him.

"Wait.. Hinata." I decided to look him in the eyes. My heart stopped.
"What? Aren't you busy?" He seemed to be getting annoyed just a tad bit.
"Can you stay here for a little bit? I got something I wanna say." I broke eye contact not being able to hold it any longer.
"Uh.. okay." He stared at my face for a quick second and his face went red. "Wait- don't tell me you-?!"
"Yeah. I overheard everything." My head was spiraling rapidly, while my heartbeat sped up.
"Well then.. I'm gonna get rejected, am I..?" Hinata looked to the ground. His expression looked sad.
"..N-no. I accept your confession.. because I-"
Hinata looked me dead in the eyes, making the interaction ten times harder.

"..I return the feelings."

Finally, getting that shit off my chest felt amazing.
"..You do?" His face lit up, which rarely ever happens because he agrees with me that everyone on this island is stupid.
"Uh.. yeah." I looked at the ground, eyes closed.
"Well.. I guess in that case.." When I opened my eyes, he wasn't there anymore.
"Hu-"

I felt a kiss on my cheek.
"Wha- what- what the-" Hinata swung back around into my line of sight.
"You know I really thought you'd be more resistant to this, you look like a tomato." He laughed a little.
"W-w-wHAT THE HELLL?!" I collapsed into the sand, chanting shit over and over in my head.
"Haha.. here." He gave me his hand, which I slowly took to use to pull myself up. "Let's go back to my cottage together, alright? We have some time till the nighttime announcement goes off." I nodded, already getting the fuck out of there.

And so, together, Hinata and I walked off to his cottage.
