Kirishima POV:

School was boring. I was pretty good in most subjects, but math was just too hard. The numbers just didn't make sense to me. It was like they would float up off the page to taunt me, bouncing around senselessly. Whatever, I'd have to ask him to help me later. A slow blush spread across my face as I zoned out, thinking about his face, his ruby tinted eyes, his deep scowl that only I could coax off of his face. His ash blonde hair... I wonder what it feels like...

I feel a poke in my side, and it suprised me so much I almost jumped out of my chair. I turned, my face probably as red as my hair, to see my good friend Mina scrunching her nose at me, trying not to burst out laughing. She made our secret hand signal, one hand held out like a claw with the palm up, the other having two fingers pulling the corners of her mouth down into a stretched out frown. The frown was ruined by her teeth showing, yaknow pulling a frown while smiling is actually really creepy. I sighed, and looking down at my notebook, grudgingly nodded. I hear quiet giggles beside me as I close my eyes and try not to let her see my smile. Mina was the person I trust most in the Bakusquad, I had known her since middle school, and she knew about my secret. Everyone in the Bakusquad did. Well... Except for one.
I open my eyes to see her furiously scribbling on a piece of paper, smile just about as wide as her stupid pink face. I sighed again, waiting for her to finish. She folds the note in half and tosses it on my desk as the teacher turned to the board. I slowly open it, already groaning at her eager yellow eyes.

'I know you're thinking about him again kiri. You've got to tell him!!! What's the worst that could happen?'

I sigh and write my own note, my handwriting much nicer than her sloppy scrawl.

'A LOT could go wrong Mina. I have no chance, so why even tell him? It would just make things awkward. Plus, pretty sure he's not even gay. It could only lead to bad things. I can't tell him.'

I fold the note back in half and toss it back to mina. She catches it with hungry eyes. She makes me laugh with how intensely she handles these kinds of things. It's like she's a mama bear setting up her son with some big strong grizzly. She opens the note and reads my hopeless words, and then her head shoots up to glare at me. The whites of her eyes are completely black, the irises an electric yellow, and even though I know she would never really hurt me, she would definitely punch me if we weren't in class. She bends down to write furiously again, pencil flying. She folds up the note again and practically chucks it at me, then crosses her arms and pouts. I shoot a small glare at her before opening the note. What was inside made my stomach drop.

'he is gay you dumbo. I asked him.'

WHAT??? No, no he's not. She's got to be lying. I look over at her and she is looking at me with a smug face, her arms crossed, watching me slowly loose my mind. He's gay? He's never said anything before. Then again, he's never talked about girls either. Why didn't I notice? This makes things so much more complicated. What am I going to doooooo...

I close my eyes and think. So, Bakugo is gay. Does that change anything? No, I don't think so. He still hasn't shown any interest in me. We're best friends but maybe... No. It didn't change anything.

I sigh defeatedly. Mina watches me with her killer eyes, seeming to gauge what I was thinking. I looked at her sadly and wrote on the note.

'it doesn't change anything. There's no way he could be into me. He's too manly :')'

I pass the note to Mina, and she looks at me with pity before opening it. But the pity quickly turns to a look of rage. This time, she did punch me. Hard. Her quirk may not be very strong, but she made up for that in training. And boy, it hurt. I raise my hands up defensively and look at her with shock. She's still glaring at me. After a few seconds, she writes something on the note. I saw it was just one sentence. As soon as she starts folding up the note, the bell rings. We quickly pack up, nervously glancing at each other. As she walks out, she inconspicuously places the note on my desk. Then she's gone. I finish packing up and anxiously grab the note. As soon as I get out, I open it, and the simple words make my breath hitch. A simple sentence that could alter the course of my life.

'no, kiri, it changes everything.'

Hello everyone!! I'm going to make these chapters a lot longer (hopefully) but I really wanted the first two episodes to be more of an intro to the story. If anyone has any questions, the comments are always open! I'll see you all in chapter 3.
