⚠️ TW: ANXIETY/ PANIC ATTACK ⚠️

I put my computer back on my desk and went downstairs. I looked around for Cordelia, but I didn't see her. I checked the large grandfather clock they had in the kitchen. It said 8:00. So much time had passed since dinner ended, but it felt like it had been two minutes. I kept looking for Cordelia. I walked into the Portraits Room and turned on the light. I jumped up when I saw that someone was sitting there. The person had been sleeping, so they jumped up as well. It was Mallory.

"Jesus Christ, you scared the shit out of me!" She exclaimed.

"I scared you? I nearly shit my pants!" I replied. We both laughed.

"What are you doing?" I asked, crossing my arms.

She picked up a book and showed me. "I was reading by the fire and I guess I fell asleep," she said. "What are you doing?"

"I was looking for Cordelia. I had a stupid question," I said with a chuckle.

"Well Cordelia stepped out for a few hours. She has a meeting," she said.

"A meeting? At 8 o'clock?" I asked.

"Oh yeah. Witches tend to meet at night. I don't know why," she chuckled. I laughed too. "I can try to answer your question," she said.

I hesitated.

"What's wrong?" She asked me.

"Well I was just looking up my mom's police report online and it didn't say anything about me. It's almost like I didn't kill those hunters," I explained, sitting on one of the couches.

She walked towards me. "It's normal. Wendy Starr takes our names out of papers, schools, etc. It's to throw off the hunters so that they don't know where we went. Once we find a way to get rid of them, she'll put our names back," she explained.

"Makes sense. So how long have you been here?" I asked.

"I think the first I came here was at the end of 2015. Now it's the middle of 2017, so about two years," she said.

"Oh cool. So have you met anybody new? Do you go anywhere?" I asked.

"Sometimes we go to parties and shit. But never alone. With groups three or more, ya know? I had a boyfriend, but I found out he was cheating on me. So I got with his sister," She said, pulling her phone out and showing me a picture of the two of themThey looked so happy.

I laughed. "That's... incredible," I said with a smile.

"Yeah. Perks of being bisexual," she began with a laugh. "And lemme just tell you. My ex wasn't too happy."

I laughed. "I'm sure," I said.

"Now why don't you go back to bed? We've got school tomorrow," she said.

"Forgot about that," I said.

After we said our goodnights, I went back upstairs. I opened the door and saw that the window by Zoe's bed was open. There were bars on the window so nobody could get in, but I still closed and locked it. I unlocked the door to the balcony (they're locked with keypads and passwords) and stepped out. I made sure to lock it behind me as well. I placed my hands on the balcony and looked at the stars for a few minutes.

"Hey Delilah," Someone said from behind me.

I jumped for the second time tonight and turned around. Kyle and Zoe were standing there.

"Oh hey guys," I said.

"We were just taking a walk around the balcony. What are you doing?" She explained.
