I coughed quietly as the scent of weed became overpowering. I groaned and stumbled back into the house where the rest of the party were raving obnoxiously. I apologized as I squeezed quickly by a kissing couple and sat in a lone chair in the corner. Sighing, I coughed again and took a long swig of beer. Or at least I would've if it wasn't empty. Should I get another drink? I stood up quickly and grabbed the chair as my world started spinnin'... I'm sure I can hold in another one. Frustrated, I wobbled to the kitchen to find another bottle.

"Who let you in?" I was shoved unexpectedly, causing me to drop my empty beer. It smashed violently across the kitchen floor, the girls standing off to the side shrieking in surprise. I winced in pain as a couple of shards of glass hit my shins.

"Fuck, how drunk are you?" The guy who shoved me laughed out loud and nudged his friends beside him, who also laughed at me. I looked up and glared at him, the alcohol shortening my patience for this kind of thing. He caught the glint in my eye and smiled viciously.

"What? You want to start something?" He pretended to lunge at me.

I still flinched back like an idiot but piped up. "You're the one starting things you..." I stopped, looking for a word to describe his... bruteness? I didn't have time to come up with a better adjective as I was shoved against the fridge, an arm pressed underneath my neck. He moved closer to my face, his dirty blond fringe tickling my forehead. His friends sneered around us, creating a dangerous circle around me.

"Are we gonna have a problem?" The scent of liquor burned in my nose as he spoke hatefully towards me. So much for a beer. I shook my head, and he backed away, my airways opening again. I coughed again and turned to leave.

Ah. I finally found the word I was looking for. "...Dick." Suddenly, a hand grabbed the back of my head and threw me to the floor. My head bounced painfully against the kitchen floor, a worrying 'thunk' sound echoing in the now quiet kitchen. Through my dazed state, I saw the girls scurry out the kitchen, likely understanding there's gonna be a fight. I tried to get up, but the pounding in my head told me to stay down. Ok, so I guess a beat down. I inwardly groaned as I saw him and his lackeys surround me. Here we go...

I held in my grunts and whines of pain as they stomped and kicked me. One of them thought it would be funny to hit me with a cold beer on my hip, so that'll be a painful welt in the morning. I hissed in pain as he stepped on my arm heavily.

"Oh my god! What are you doing?!" A female figure moved into my field of view and elbowed my attackers away. "Are you ok?!" She gently touched my arm but stopped as I gasped weakly in pain.

"Don't touch it, you'll get its--"

"Shut up!" She jumped up and faced them head-on. "If you hurt him again, I will literally call the police!" She eyed each one of them and knelt again to help me. Slowly, she got me in an unstable standing position.

"Tsk. Of course, she's taking care of them; they manipulated her into doing it."

"Why are they even here? Who invited them?"

"Honestly. They don't belong here; we were just trying to help them understand their place." The group laughed as she glared at them for me.

"Wish I could punch 'em one last time." The group laughed again as one of them took out beers for the rest. They all walked out into the toxic air that hung outside as this kind lady lugged me up the stairs. I could only advert my eyes as everyone stared at us, their whispers deafening to my ears.

Opening a door, she propped me up on the toilet. She rummaged in the medicine cabinet, pulling out some painkillers, hydrogen peroxide, some cotton balls, and Neosporin. I lifted my shirt to look at my stomach, the skin already raised and reddening. She turned around and hissed empathetically when she saw my welts.
