The Next Hero in Line (My Hero Academia Fan Fiction)

Chapter 1

June 9th,

Midoriya walked down the halls of the seventh story of U.A. The sun shone through the windows and brought natural light into the halls. Some students passed him and said good morning and he returned the saying. They carried on their way down the hall and into another class. Midoriya continued a little further until he approached the massive door that led into his class.

"3-A," He said to himself.

 He put his hand on the handle, turned it, and pulled it open. He walked in and saw the normal things he always saw. Aizawa, in his sleeping bag in the corner of the room, Todoroki at his desk reading a textbook for their upcoming test, Mineta and Kaminari peeking their heads over at the girls while they chattered around a desk in the back, Kirishima talking to Bakugou as he just sits there annoyed and completely checked out of the conversation, Iida trying to get everyone in order as the class would soon start, Aoyama checking himself at his desk with his pocket mirror and, Tokoyami, Koda and Ojiro talking as well. When Midoriya walked further in he was noticed by everyone. Uraraka came running over to him and Iida peacefully walked over to him as well.

"Morning, Deku!" Uraraka greeted him with a large grin on her face.

"Good Morning, Midoriya" Iida said as he gave his normal smile.

"Morning to the both of you. I can't believe it's our final week of attending U.A. and then after that, we will all go our ways as heroes. I'll be sure to keep in touch with everyone afterward though. Our journeys won't stop here!" He said.

"Why get all excited about it; so what? It's not like you're going to become the number one hero immediately, you're going to have to work for it. But even so, I will become the next number one Deku. You may have beaten All For One but you still haven't beaten me!" Bakugou yelled over from his desk.

"Bakugou! We agreed not to talk about that incident ever again! Do you know the toll that put on everyone? Especially Midoriya!"

"It's alright, Iida. You don't need to tell him what to do or say. He probably just forgot," Midoriya exclaimed with an anxious sigh.

Midoriya found it hard to believe too. It's been two years since the end of the Liberation War. So many lives were lost and everyone seemed to be at their bottom, and it was also when All Might was killed in front of everyone on Live broadcasting. After Shigaraki's body was taken over by All For One, he went to U.A. and got into the safe room. All Might was in there with Eri. When he bursted through the ceiling and pinned All Might down on the neck. Eri was able to escape from the room in time so she didn't have to suffer through the trauma of another murder before her. All For One turned on a camera and hacked through all electronic devices that could broadcast audio and visual through a signal. Deku was able to see on TV as he was being treated in a field hospital. All Might was picked up by the neck and started to choke from All For One's grip. His hands grew as he put one on top of All Might's head and the other on his collarbone. All Might took one last look at the camera and Midoriya could see he was not even fighting. All Might knew his time had come. All For One tore his head from his torso and blood splattered the lens. He then threw his corpse on the ground and crushed his head in between his two hands. Everyone was horrified by what they just saw. Soon, broadcasting companies were able to regain signal over All For One's input and the viewing of the execution cut off.

It didn't matter though, everyone saw the old number-one hero, killed on live TV. Midoriya, despite his injuries, rolled out of bed and onto the ground. He forced himself up. He was in excruciating pain but his anger and adrenaline were more overpowering in his current state. He began to stand up and the red lines shot around all over his body as he began to glow. Nurses tried to restrain him and pull him back down so they could sedate his body, but it was too late. At that point, Midoryia's One For All surged to 100% and in the blink of an eye, he was gone. A small shockwave from his movement arrived seconds later and rumbled the whole recovery camp. Within seconds, he was at U.A. as All for One jumped at him. Midoriya, enraged in fury, did not give mercy to All For One. Smash after smash he threw at him. All For One got one good hit. One. But Midoriya didn't notice until after the fight. When All For One was at his weakest point in the fight. Midoriya finished it before he could regenerate. His mind was quickly transferred into the One For All vision. The light bounced off from the user to user and it continued until the 8th user. All Might's ghost stood before him as he held the main force of One For All.
