Chapter 1

It had been a long day. Apparently, everyone in town comes to McDonald's. I was about to get off of my shift when I noticed five boys running through the parking lot. Four of the boys ran straight to the playground while the last one came inside. He had floppy brown hair and soft brown eyes. He smiled warmly at me as if he were expecting something. Oh, yeah ! "Hi, welcome to McDonald's. How may I help you?" I asked, putting on my fake smile. "Can I have 10 Big Macs please?" He said in a smooth voice. "10?" I gasped. "Yes please." He smiled. "Okay, um. You're order number 70." I stated. "Your name?" I asked him. He stared at me in shock. "Y-You don't know my name?" "Nope am I supposed to?" I asked. "Well I am... famous." he whispered, looking around nervously. "Um, okay. Well, what's your name?" I asked ,agitated by his reluctance. He smiles at me warmly and says ,"Liam Payne."

Liam just stood there and watched my every move expectantly. Right when I was about to say something , something clicked. Liam Payne is my childhood best friend. We grew up together in Wolverhampton before I moved to London. When all of this processed through my slow brain, I ran around then counter to give him a hug.

"Oh my gosh , Liam! I cannot believe you're really here!" I screamed. He chest vibrated as he laughed, allowing me to feel his warmness. "Would you like an autograph?" He asked me. I looked up and gave him a puzzled look. "What are you talking about? I know you're famous and all , but we were best friends, remember?" I asked him. After he shook his head, I opened up the locket around my neck he got me for my 15th birthday. It had a picture of Liam and I when we were 10 years old. A look of recognition crossed his face as he gave a toothy grin.

"Kinsley!" Liam yelled as he picked me up in a bear hug. "Haha, okay Li. I'm glad you remember me and all, but please put me down." I begged , giggling uncontrollably. I heard a bell ding and I got Liam's order. When I handed it to him, he said, "Do you want to come sit with us?" "Sure, my shift just ended." I told him , smiling. He led me outside to the playground where there were the four guys I saw earlier playing. When they saw Liam they all came running and screaming about food.

When I was positive I wasn't going to be jumped on, I stood back beside Liam. "Well who is this pretty lady?" One of the guys asked. "None of your business, Harry." Liam said, sticking his tongue out. "Liam, she is really pretty." Another boy said shyly. I noticed he was the one with swoopy brown hair like Liam's and striking blue-green eyes. He came up to me and stuck out his hand. "Hi, i'm Louis. That cheeky one over there is Harry. The one looking in his mirror is Zayn. The blond one eating all the food is Niall, and apparently you've already met Liam." he told me. "Well hello guys, i'm Kin-" I was saying when I got suddenly interrupted by my phone. Right before I answered it Liam yelled, "WAIT!" I answered it anyway. "Hello?" I asked. "Hello Beautiful." The guy said. I froze at the sound of his voice , my face going pale. I never would have thought I would hear from him again..
