"Still you don't want to tell who was your boss?" I asked them.
"It can't be true, he wouldn't do that for us"uncle 1 said.
"Oh shut up, uncle" Oliver cried.
"Oliver, do you think these guys believe that we are telling the truth? they will think we are cooking up the story" Uncle 1 said
"You tell me who it is. I will do the remaining" I said
"so if we tell the truth, will you let us go?" Uncle 2 asked
"If what you said was, true" I said
"Fine, I will tell who our boss is" Oliver said.
And I and my investigation team, looked at each other as we were succeeding in what we wanted.
"Tell me how it was. I will make sure that you guys are not involved in this" I said so that they would say the name without any worry.
"It was XXXX" Oliver said.
Which shook everyone in the room.
I immediately slapped Oliver.
"Do you think I am a fool to believe your lies? I would have believed if you told us that I am your boss but how you want me to believe XXXX was the main person behind all this" I shouted.
"Kris, believe me. We already know that we are being used by our boss. Why would you think we are lying?" Oliver said.
"That's why I said you guys wouldn't believe us" Uncle 1 said.
"Sir, if what Oliver is telling is true, then it would be a cultural shock" One member from the investigation team said.
"Oliver, you are not joking, right?" I asked him as it was too unbelievable.
"We are telling the truth, kris" Uncle 2 said.
"No one will believe us. It was unrealistic. Even the police will not trust us. We have no proof against that person" I said.
After some time
"Kris, I think I have proof of call recording" Oliver said, and I immediately went towards him.
"Where is it?" I asked him.
"It's on my mobile phone" Oliver said, and I signalled the investigation team to open the recording from Oliver's phone.
[Call recording]
Oliver: Hi XXXX
XXXX: The men we send to Singapore got caught by the police, so it's better you guys stay underground for a few days while I try to settle everything here. Everything is going smooth.
Oliver: "what??? Now, what will happen to us? what if police catch us?"
XXXX: don't worry. Police will not catch me until I am here. Just do what I say and don't come out uncovered.
XXXX: I transferred 10,000 dollars to your account for this month.
[End of recording]
I and the investigation team went into shock when we heard the familiar voice in the recording.
"It can't be true" I said as I collapsed when I heard the person's voice in the recording.
"We always forget the orders from him, so I usually record the call so we can listen to them again and delete later but this is the last call from him. From last month he even stopped sending us the money for our expenses" Oliver said.
