Chapter 1: Moving day

Y/n POV

So I have just moved from England too America. Mum says the reason we moved is because she thinks the schools are better for me. But really it's because cause she couldn't deal with living in the exact same house my dad got arrested in. You see he used to be a drug dealer and the police finally caught him. I was only 7 when it happened but I remember everything that happened and I'm 15 now.  It's just been me and my mum for as long as I remember.

So me and mum are putting away clothes etc. "Y/n why don't you go skateboarding around town and have a look around." My mum said handing me my skateboard. I nodded and took my skateboard. I skated about twenty minutes away from home and then realized I had no clue where I was so I turned back around and tried to find my way home. I ended up in some sort of park. There was a field next to the small park and I could see a curly haired boy playing football with another guy. I just ignored them and carried on going. Suddenly I heard someone shout out "LOOK OUT!" But before I could react a football hit my front two wheels on my skateboard and I went hurtling forward.

I sat up rubbing my head and look down at my knee covered in blood. The two boys that were playing football came running over. "Omg are you ok we are so sorry we didn't mean to hit you." The curly haired boy said and the other boy just stared at me bright red. He was probably embarrassed. I nodded and tried to stand up but failed too as my leg was numb. I fell back down again and the two boys helped me up and walked me to the bench.  The curly haired boy went to the shop while me and the other boy just sat there awkwardly I decided to break the silence. "Hi I'm Y/n." I said and he looked at me and laughed I felt a bit offended. "I'm Noah." He said in-between laughs. "What's so funny?" I asked really confused. "It's just that your leg is bleeding really bad and you just say hi I'm Y/n." He said trying to find oxygen I started laughing as well when the other boy came running over. "Hey what did I miss?" Me and Noah just looked at each other and laughed. 

The curly haired boy introduced himself as Finn and put a bandage on my leg and Noah and Finn walked me to my house we also exchanged numbers and I'm going to meet them at the park tomorrow. But I can't stop thinking about Noah he was gorgeous but no he won't feel the same about me so just forget it Y/n. I called for my mum but she didn't answer I walked into her room to se her asleep on her bed with a wine bottle next to her. Empty. You see when my dad got arrested mum started heavy drinking I just hope she can stop soon. 'Oh mum please not again.' I tucked her into bed and walked to my room that was half finished. I put my headphones on and started playing my sad playlist and just laid in bed and cried myself to sleep as usual.
