ABIGAIL POV

"I won't ask again!" he yells at me. I flinch at the anger in his cold, grey eyes. I let out a strained breath before speaking. My whole body ached in pain. Probably because I had been chained in iron for weeks. At least it felt like weeks. It was getting harder and harder to notice time passing.

"Something tells me you will ask again" I mutter. He hears me with his keen senses and scowls, not liking my answer. I knew what was coming next, but I wasn't ready for it. He grabbed a handful of powder from a bag hanging from his waist. I didn't get the chance to close my eyes before he blew it in my face. I let out a scream of pain as the powder settled into my eyes and face. It burned my skin and eyes wherever it touched. But that wasn't the worst of it. I let out cries of pain as it absorbed into my body, burning me as it did. My body shook from the pain, as I found it difficult to breath. It felt like acid was eating away at me. Tears dripped down my cheek, but I wasn't crying. It was blood. Marcus leans in close to me, and whispers in my ear.

"You can end this torture. All you need to do... is bring him back" he says, desperation clear in his voice. I whimper as the pain fades. I wasn't sure how much longer I could hold out.

"I-I told you... I don't perform such dark m-magic" I whisper through gritted teeth "And nothing you do will make me"

He steps back to look me in the eyes "We'll see about that" he states and reaches for more powder. Before he could blow it into my eyes a loud howl could be heard.

TYLERS POV

I let out a loud howl, signaling my warriors to move in as I ran past the border towards the rouge encampment. I could hear their warriors coming for us, and it only urged me forward. I lunged at the first rouge I saw and ripped at his throat. He fell to the ground choking on his own blood. I didn't waste any time though and lunged at the next wolf I saw. He nipped at me, but I clawed at his stomach and he fell to the ground, bleeding.

"We save as many of their prisoners as we can" I command through the mind link. I run towards their camp, and as it comes into view I see fighting between my men and the rouges. The camp is made up of big tents and cages filled with kidnapped werewolves. I maneuver through the tents and lung at a rouge who is attacking Luke, my beta. I crunch down on his arm as Luke finishes him off. I pause as I smell something strange. It was like sage and jasmine. A loud howl draws my attention away from the scent to the front of the camp. The 'alpha' of this band of traitors stood before me. If you could call him that. His fur was black, but it was dirty and matted and his eyes were a sickly yellow. He was stronger than the rest, but still, I could take him. He looked at the fallen body of his rouges and let out a growl. He lunged at me; no doubt fueled by anger. I dodged his attack and rammed my body into him. He slid back slightly but lunged again. This time he landed a blow to my shoulder. I let out a furious growl and swiped at his eye, leaving a deep scratch. He stumbled back dazed. I struck at his shoulder in revenge and bit down hard. He yelped in pain as blood filled my mouth. He shoved me off him and made a run for it. What a coward. I start to run after him, but my wolf stops me as we pick up the strange scent again.

"Mine" he growls. I shake my head in confusion. He couldn't mean what I thought he did.

"Alpha? Are you going after him?" Luke asks

I shake my head "He's not worth it. He'll die on his own anyway" I state. River, who had shifted and was fully dressed, brings some clothes so that the rest of us can shift as well. I shift back to my human form, while the others do as well, and put some shorts and a shirt on.

"Alpha!" someone calls out just as I finish. I look over to where it was coming from. It was Brett who was poking his head out from one of the tents. I head over to him, and as I do the strange scent gets stronger. What was it? It smelled amazing. I walk into the tent and am stunned at what I see. It was an unconscious girl. She was chained by her wrists to the top of the tent and she was on her knees. There was blood running down her face from her eyes. It was her. The scent was coming from her.

"She's not a wolf. I don't know what she is" Brett says and walks up to her. I grab his arm and stop him. I had to know if she was who I thought she was. I walk up to her and cup her cheek. Sparks ignited as I touched her skin. It couldn't be. She responded to my touch by slowly opening her eyes.

"Help me..." she whispers slowly, her voice hoarse.

"Mate" I growl out
