A/N: I know I said it was the end but they started being cute and I figured I should share rather than dumping it in my Bits and Pieces folder and forgetting about it. So enjoy one last moment of fluff.
Anson stretched languidly and blinked blearily at the empty space where his mate had been sleeping. He yawned, but hadn't managed to do much more before Eveirdo came down the stairs into Anson's lair, wearing only a pair of Anson's shorts and holding a plate. Anson grinned when Eveirdo stopped for a moment, blue eyes flashing as they trailed over him in appreciation.
"Morning."
"Morning," Anson hummed. "That for me?"
Eveirdo resumed his forward progression, nodding as he slid onto the edge of the bed and offered up the plate of food in his hand. Anson rolled over to sit up, ignoring his oversized tee slipping off one shoulder, folding his bare legs in front of him and grinning at the mountain of breakfast.
Eveirdo lounged out across half the bed like he belonged there, and Anson decided he liked that. He nodded sagely to cover his distraction and refocused on Eveirdo talking. "Hevreshek made the waffles. I added the chocolate sauce, strawberries and whipped cream. And I made the Scotch eggs."
Anson hummed in approval. "Such a good provider."
Eveirdo preened.
"And what are you loading me up with calories for?"
"Flying." Eveirdo supplied with a grin of anticipation. "Well, I'll be flying and you'll be riding. It's almost Mardi Gras so I figured we could go and see what all the fuss is about. Its supposed to be this huge party, and I could watch you dance for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. Or if you would rather stay close to home for a little longer we could go talk to Tony about tattoos. You said you wanted to get that dagger set up like Aisling's knives and I'd kinda like to add you to my tapestry."
Anson smirked, eyeing Eveirdo's tattoos. He picked out a piece of strawberry and swept it through whipped cream before offering it up. Eveirdo leaned in, licking the morsel from Anson's fingers. Anson wet his lips at the feel of the warm tongue caressing his fingertips.
Eveirdo's tone dropped, going deep and warm as he swallowed the sweet fruit and light cream. "Or, ya know, if you're still tired we don't have to go anywhere. Just stay in bed. Watch a movie. Read a book. Take care of the kids and chase Hevreshek and Vivienne out of the house for some quality time."
Humming thoughtfully, Anson chewed the fluffy waffle and licked the chocolate off his lips. "Why not all of them?"
Eveirdo grinned. "We can do all of them."
Anson nodded, setting aside his half eaten plate and taking a moment to pick out another berry, smothered in chocolate and cream. He rolled on top of Eveirdo, sprawling across his chest to pin him to the bed and holding the fruit in front of Eveirdo's mouth. The offering was accepted with another greedy suckle to Anson's fingertips. Anson let out a rumble of contentment, as close to a Dragon thrum as he could get, and tilted his head to lick up a smear of whipped cream from Eveirdo's bottom lip.
Eveirdo shivered, a shuddering breath escaping him as Anson nibbled, coaxing him to chew quickly and free up his mouth for kisses. Eveirdo growled as he hurried to oblige, swallowing cool fruit and Anson's warm tongue soon after. Anson languid chased the taste of strawberry, fingers slipping over skin and through hair. Shivering when palms slid up and down his back leaving trails of tingles behind. Sparks of static electricity along his spine had him wriggling with a whine.
A deep breath and a long sigh of contentment were shared between them as they pulled away, staring into each others eyes for a long moment until Anson grinned.
"What?"
Anson shook his head, amusement slipping out despite himself. "I've figured it out."
Eveirdo hummed in question.
"I knew Simm couldn't tempt you away from me, but I finally figured out why." Anson traced the lines of the Chinese Dragon tattooed on Eveirdo's chest absently. "He was right that you're greedy. With an unquenchable appetite. But he got your vice all wrong."
Eveirdo raised a brow, a smirk playing around his mouth. "Oh? But you've figured out what I'm a glutton for?"
Anson nodded seriously, hiding his smile. "You've got a hunger for life. You want to experience everything the world has to offer and then do it all again to see if any of it has changed. You want the entire earth and all her wonders at your fingertips, with the freedom and time to taste it all at your leisure."
A laugh rumbled between their chests, until they were both shaking with mirth. Eveirdo grinned, licking his lips and giving Anson a hungry look. "And if I can do it with someone who's just as eager for adventure as me, all the better."
Anson pressed more kisses against Eveirdo's mouth. To his jaw and throat. Using his teeth to worry at Eveirdo's collarbones and shoulders, until he had coaxed a thrum from the Dragon's chest. He basked in the sense of victory at having achieved that noise. "I'll go with you, side by side, wherever the roads take us. Somebody has to watch your back when you get into trouble, stupid Dragon."
Eveirdo growled playfully, heaving beneath Anson to roll them over and pin the wolf. He reached for the plate of breakfast and scooped whipped cream up with his fingers to paint it across Anson's face. He rumbled over the sounds of Anson yelping out threats and laughing. "You're stuck with me for the rest of your life, bastard Wolf."
A wail of distress brought a pair of baby Dragons to Anson's rescue and Eveirdo was tackled off of Anson and completely off the bed. He was soon lost under a thrashing mess of wings and tails, the noise of Draconic yelling and Anson laughing prompting Red to yell down the stairs at them.
"If I have to repair another wall because somebody goes through it I swear on the Goddess..."
Anson held his aching stomach as he wiped the tears and cream from his face, trying to catch his breath before he drowned in all the love.
