How did I get here again?

Oh, I fell that's how.

I wonder where I am? It is to dark to see anything.

As I feel around trying to get a sense of my location I prick my finger.

"Fuck," I mumbled to myself.

I then felt something drip down my face. I lifted my hand to feel where it was coming from. "I guess I hit my head pretty hard." I tried to stand up but felt an immense amount of pain shoot through my legs. I tried one more time pushing through the pain as I finally got to my feet.

My locs were a mess, and my white shirt was now brown and torn. My sneakers were dirty from running and my pants as well. I felt around for my backpack, with my foot since I had on shoes, I felt something that felt like my backpack and decided to pick it up. I unzipped the backpack in search for a flashlight so that I could see. I finally felt it taking out the flashlight hitting it twice so that it could work.

I scanned my area and saw nothing but trees and broken glass on the ground. I turned the flashlight to the left of me and noticed a broken down car. I pointed the flash light above me and noticed the hill I fell down from. There was blood on the ground from where my head had collided. I took out my bandages and water bottle from my backpack so that I could wrap and clean my wound. I sat myself down on the ground avoiding the area with broken glass.

I ripped a piece of my shirt and poured water onto it. I wrapped the piece of shirt into a ball and patted my head. I also cleaned my face to the best of my ability trying to get rid of the blood and dirt. I grabbed the bandages wrapping them around my head as best as I could. I didn't have a mirror or anything, and the glass on the ground was to small to use. Once I was finished wrapping the wound on my head, I put everything back into my backpack and zipped it up. I decided to check how many bullets I had left in my gun just for precautions. I pulled the gun out from the belt of my jeans. I released the magazine part of my gun pouring the bullets into my hand.

"One.. Two.... Three.... Four... Five.... Plus the one in the inside."

I put the bullets back into the magazine, and I put the magazine back into the gun. I then placed the gun inside the belt of my jeans once again. I picked up my backpack wrapping it around one shoulder as I looked around one last time. I decided to continue forward into the woods with my flashlight still in hand. I stepped silently keeping in mind that there might be a zombie near by.

The sky was beginning to become brighter signaling the sun was about to rise. "I guess I get to see another day." I continued walking stepping over anything that might make a lot of noise. I started to become hungry but decided to hold it off until later. I noticed a river up ahead of me that I could rest at. I sat down by the river setting my backpack to the side of me. I looked up at the sky watching as the sun began to shine. I let out a tired sigh looking back down towards the river. The water was calm and soothing as it passed by. The rocks stayed still as the water passed. So still, so calm, as if I could just stay here like this forever. I looked to my left glancing at the different plants that I knew nothing about. I then heard shuffling to my right as I hurriedly turned around. I quickly placed my hand on my gun as I waited for what ever was in the bush to come out.

A bunny?

I let out a deep breathe thankful that it wasn't a zombie. I looked around making sure that there wasn't anything near by. I decided to get up and continue to walk through the woods. The trees soon started to disappear as I made it onto a road. I put my hand up to block the sun from my face, so that I could see better. I looked around, and I heard a car coming from the distance.
