With no one in my way towards the village, I opened the giant gate that leads into the streets.

Upon opening it, I see the once crowded, and lively streets of the village is now in disarray. There are trash, crucified skeletons and even coffins strewn all over.

"What on earth happened here? Where is everyone?"

I take a small walk through the main street, until I stumbled upon a small note.

I took it, and read it out.

"The shrine has left us, and burned what's left at the northern district while leaving us to hunt down the rest of the witches."

Shrine? Which shrine is it? Moriya, or Reimu's?

Speaking of Reimu, I still haven't seen her yet. What could have happened to her, and why isn't she responding to this incident?

I continued to walk down the street until I heard footsteps coming from around a corner. I hid behind a small barrel, and I let the footsteps distance themselves. I peeked to see a group of villagers, all armed with crude weaponry and torches, marching towards the direction of the Myouren Temple.

I walked over to where they were walking from, to see a charred body, lashed onto a wooden pole. The face of the figure slowly turned towards me, as a part of their head begins to crumble into ash.

"...M....Risa...."

I looked at the base of the pole, to see a name tag, it's none other than...

"Kosuzu! What happened? Did they do this?"

"S...shrine... Answers.... There...."

"Which shrine? What is exactly going on?"

"Mo..."

Her tongue begins to crumble, so does her body as she then closed her eyes as her figure crumbled into dust, and being drifted away by a gust of wind.

She said "Mo" in her last words. So it is indeed another Moriya Shrine scheme, presumably.

What are they up to this time, and did they succeed? They have made the people call magicians witches, even though I don't do any black magic or dangerous witchcraft... Yet.

I turned around, and went down onto another street, and I find myself standing on the village square, which is now riddled with tombstones, which were still not carved with names of the deceased as of yet.

But that aren't what caught my attention, but instead it is the figure in front of Me, wearing a black cape and hat with a white plaid ribbon decorating it. She holds a huge axe, and swings it down onto a corpse of a villager I don't recognize, chuckling as she sees the intestines and gore of the villager spilling out upon each chop.

"Monsters all over the village... You'll be one of them, sooner or later."

She turned around, apparently having sensed my presence and took a deep breath.

This girl, I know who she is. The schoolgirl from the Outside world, Usami Sumireko... The one who started the Urban legend incident.

"Sumireko... Why are you..."

"I just can't stop, seeing blood. They make me feel satisfied..."

Is she having a serious case of bloodlust? I wonder what happened that made her become like this.

She raised her axe and dashed towards me, swinging it down. I narrowly dodged it, by sidestepping at the last second. Upon impact, the axe creates a small crack on the ground, how strong is she?

I dashed forward as she struggles to pull the axe back from the ground, before I swing my broom-spear a couple of times onto her, before making a straight thrust which pierced her torso. She recovers, before she pulls out a small firearm, and chanted "Gun sign - 3D Printer Gun" before a powerful shot was fired from the firearm, knocking me back a few feet.

I looked down onto my body, to see a couple of holes has dug through from the shot earlier. I pulled out the blood vial that I took from the dead villagers, put the injection needle onto it, and I injected myself using it.

Miraculously, the wounds heal in an instant, upon injection.

"Ahh, what's that smell...? Your blood is going to intoxicate me more than these peons I killed."

She begins to growl as several jolts rocked over her body. Her dress underneath the cape begins to tear itself as her body enlarged itself, her teeth growing into fangs, and her pupils became slitted.

"You're mine now, Magician!"

"What's going on here...!?"

I asked myself, as I readied my Mini-Hakkero. As I am just about to pull it out, she pounced at me which I dodged. She landed onto a stone wall, which then crumbles upon impact under her strength. She turned around, and begin to shoot at me again with the firearm, the bullets from within, which I dodged like it's nothing.

The beast in front of me, which was once Sumireko attempted to pounce me, only for her to fly straight towards a laser beam I shot from the Hakkero.

Afterwards, I rammed my entire broom-spear into her chest, so hard that I could hear her heart literally explode before proceeding to kick her body off. The beast's body then glowed in a white light before exploding into nothingness. I can feel a large sum of Magic Echoes going into the Hakkero.

Taking a deep breath, I sat down on the ground as a small lamppost begins to sprout itself from the ground in front of me.

I touched the lamppost, and immediately I fell asleep.

I wake up, to find myself being straddled by Alice again. She got off my body gently, as I stood my way up to my feet, and I begin to speak.

"Welcome back, Marisa. How may I help you now?"

"I want to be stronger, ze. Let me transfer those echoes into you."

"Indeed, I would do this. Good Magus, seek and slay more beasts, gain their Magic Echoes, and become stronger."

After that, I made my way towards her, locking her in a firm embrace before planting my lips onto her soft ones. As we make out, Alice puts her fingers onto where my slit is, and I can feel the power surging into me.

Once I feel that she is no longer making out with me, I find myself awake beside the lamppost. I got up, and walked towards the other gate that would lead to a pathway that goes to the Moriya Shrine.
