After a moment Adam spoke to the box:

"hey...yah I know it's getting late but I need your help with something....no I didn't break anything..no! I..just get over here please, and bring your equipment to test fingerprints....look It's easier if I explain when you get here..thanks, see you in a bit."

He then tapped the box again before turning around and walking over to me seeing my confused face, he stood infront of me with a knowing look.

"I know you got a question, go ahead."

He said calmly and reassuringly as he looked down at me as I sat on the Couch.

"What is that odd box?"

I asked in the same monotone causing him to look down at it before looking back at me.

"It's called a Cell Phone, it lets you talk to people who aren't close by."

He said in a calm though confused tone, gaining a small nod from me.

"Is that why you were yelling at it?"

I asked as I tilted my head slightly and in response Adam chuckled slightly before nodding.

"Ya, my friend Tom is on his way over. Should be here soon."

He said as he looked at his left wrist before lowering it back to his side, after roughly ten minutes there was a knock at the door though this one was across the house from the door Adam had carried me through.

"Goddamn it's cold out there!"

The new voice said as the two made their way to the Couch where I still sat, Adam had explained to the man that I was abducted by Vampires and that I did not know what most things were.

"Ok uhm, I'm Tom and Adam asked me to see if you're in the federal database."

Tom's words confused me causing me to tilt my head and stare at him, they both looked at each other before looking at me.

"Basically uhm...think of a book; it's got knowledge in it right? Well a database is like a really big book only this one is filled with people."

Tom said as he gestured at an odd black slab he had infront of him, I stared for a moment before pointing at the slab.

"That odd Slab is this Database?"

I asked with a confused look on my face gaining a small chuckle from them both.

"No, this is a laptop. It lets me access the database."

Tom said confidently as he lifted part of the Laptop revealing even more I did not understand, before I could ask anything else Tom placed a small odd slab infront of me.

"Can you press your fingerprints against this please?"

He asked as he looked at me only getting a confused expression from me.

"Fingerprints?"

I asked curiously as I stared at him which in turn caused his jaw to drop for a moment.

"I..uhm...you, you see the little lines across the ends of your fingers?"

He asked in a dumbfounded tone as he watched me examine my fingers before nodding.

"Ok, well every Human has unique fingerprints and that's how we might be able to figure out who you are."

He said as he gestured to the odd slab infront of me.

"Now if you can place your fingers flat on this making sure your fingerprints are completely pressed against it I'll see what I can find."

He continued as I did as he said before he took that slab and put it inside a small contraption beside the Laptop, after a moment he hunched back.

"Nothing."

He said in confusion before picking up a small box though different than the Cell Phone Adam had shown me.

"Ok uhm, look right here."

He said as he pointed at a spot of the box, doing as he asked I kept my eyes on it before a flash of light filled my vision. Without a word Tom attached the little box to the same contraption and in an instant I seen my face appear on the Laptop beside faces of people I did not recognize before seeing a red X appear next to my face.

"You aren't in the database. That means you were taken long before we even had the technology."

Tom said dumbfounded as he looked at me causing Adam to take a similar expression.

"Hang on how's that even possible, she looks like she's Chloe's age."

Adam said in a confused and concerned tone as he looked at Tom who was now standing infront of me with an inquisitive look.

"Maybe not, when Vampires feed on a Human long enough they can put that person in a sort of Stasis. Causing them to barely age and remain a source of blood for the Vampire for as long as that Stasis is active."

Tom said with a look of realization as he examined me, Adam went wide-eyed as he stared at me and said:

"Then that would mean.."

He started before Tom interrupted.

"This girl while she looks like she's in her early twenties, may actually be the oldest Human alive.."

He said looking down at me with curiosity in his words.
