"it's so cold karl," the ravenette whined out. karl couldn't help but laugh, sapnap wasn't used to the cold weather.
"we can go home, sap" karl started, "i'll make you something warm and we can cuddle,"
"really?"
"of course"
karl knew sapnap would almost never get used to the cold, he grabbed his lovers hand and pulled him back down the road.
when karl looked at sapnap a small snowflake fell on his nose, making the brunette awh. he looked so cute until the snow felt melted. he thought sapnap was the cutest boy he'd ever meet.
"god you look so cute nick," he smiled
"shut up no i don't" sapnap wouldn't go down without a fight, neither would karl. making them both fight about if sapnap was cute or not.
everything was perfect for karl and sapnap. to them, nothing could be better.
no one could be like sapnap.
and no one could be like karl.
it was always just going to be karl and sapnap
forever.

the brunettes tears stained his cheeks as he walked down the path, the closer he got the harder he would sob
he sat down on his knees in front his lovers grave, not caring how dirty his pants would get.
he saw the writing on it,

friend
and boyfriend
he missed his boyfriend.
"i hate how your so selfless sapnap. not a day goes by that i don't regret looking out for myself. not a day goes by that i don't miss you"
karl choked out a sob, his sleeves getting wet every time he wiped his eyes.
he looked up from his sleeve to speak, "sometimes i wonder if you would ever get used to the cold sap," his voice getting strained and shaky, "maybe we could've had a walk and enjoy the snow together without you complaining once,"
karl smiled, remembering that day. sapnaps smile never faded that day.
he missed seeing sapnap smile.
karl looked down again, noticing his hands starting to shake. he hit the ground.
"why couldn't it be me?!"
"you never did anything to deserve this!"
"god i miss you nick..."
"come back..."
karl got quiet, could sapnap hear him? does sapnap miss him too?
"i miss you so much.."
he felt a chill run through him, hoping that meant sapnap was near him.

he looked up and saw a small snowflake on the top of sapnaps grave.
just like the one karl saw on his nose.
