Jasmine's POV

I feel someone grabbing my blankets off of my body. Thinking it's Brian I scream at the top of my lungs, "Leave me alone!" then I hear a familiar chuckle. My eyes shoot open and I see my favorite boy standing at the end of my bed with a sweet smile on his face.

"Well my love, seems like you are not a morning person unless we're playing baseball." I laugh and roll my eyes. I stand up from my bed and Benny wraps me in a hug. I giggle and look at my clock seeing it's barely 4:50 in the morning. I gasp and push Benny gently,

"You woke me up THIS early?" he nods and chuckles,

"I wanna show you something." I sigh as he takes his sweater off of himself and wraps it around me. I laugh,

"You do realize I have my own sweaters right Benjamin?" he nods and smiles sheepishly.

"I just think you look cuter in mine." I sigh and hide the smile that appears on my lips. I nod and grab his hand ready to go. He pulls me gently as we quietly leave my room, I shut my door and before I know it I'm being dragged down the stairs. As we reach the front door I feel the carpet underneath my feet move and then within the blink of an eye I'm on the floor. We both burst out into giggles and laughs. "Jasmine how did you manage to do that?" I laugh and nonchalantly exclaim,

"You know I just felt like sitting on the floor, it seemed a lot more comfortable." I laugh as Benny helps me up. Without another word we open the front door and leave, it's still dark outside as well, I sigh and yawn wishing I could go back to sleep, I shrug it off and look up to see where Benny is taking me. It's a ladder leading up to my roof, I scrunch my eyebrows together and squeeze Benny's hand. He smiles and gives me a reassuring look, 

"I won't let anything happen to you my love." I sigh and grab the ladder to begin climbing. I feel Benny's hands on my back to protect me from falling, after about seven steps I reach the roof and slowly stand up. I look down and see Benny's honey brown eyes looking up at me, he smiles and I reach down to grab his hand. He looks me in the eyes with pride and shakes his head, " I got this." I roll my eyes and laugh as he stands up onto the roof. Then without another thought Benny grabs my hand and pulls me towards the edge of the roof, I gasp and scrunch my nose and squeeze shut my eyes. Benny laughs and I feel his lips touch my forehead. I open my eyes and see the sun rise. I smile wide and I feel Benny pull me down next to him. I happily climb down next to him and lay my head on his shoulder. This feeling slowly fades as an hour passes, I slowly begin to realize today we have our first day of school. Benny snaps me out of my thoughts by turning my face towards him, "I am completely and utterly in love with you Jasmine Phillips." I smile and feel my heart skip a beat.

"You are my reason to live Benjamin Rodriguez." I close my eyes and feel his lips crash into mine. Then were interrupted by something hitting my shoe. I look down and see the gang standing there yawning with irritated looks on their faces.

"Are you two love birds ready?!" Ham shouts in an annoyed voice. I laugh and Benny stands up holding his hand out for me. I giggle and shake my head, 

"I got th-" before I could finish my sentence Benny grabs my hand knowing I'll fall if I try to get up myself. I smile and kiss his cheek when I'm on my feet. We walk towards the ladder as Benny's hands stays glued on my waist. I feel my fear of heights kick in as I see how high up we are. I turn around and put my face into Benny's chest "I'm scared" I mumble. He chuckles and I feel his grip tighten. He leans down and whispers in my ear, 

"I would never let anything happen to you my love" I smile and pout. Ever since I came back I haven't been saying I love you to Benny. I still held a grudge against him for how he treated me. But, in this moment, I knew he is the one. 

"I love you" I whisper and he freezes. I look at his face and he has a huge smile,

"I love you more than baseball." I gasp and freeze.

"Benny Rodriguez" I throw my hand over my mouth and snap out of our moment. "Oh no were gonna be late" I quickly but carefully climb down the ladder. I wait for Benny and then grab his hand. We all run as fast as our legs can carry us. "I'm sorry guys!" I yell as we run. After running about seven blocks we show up at school out of breathe and sweaty. I sigh and walk into the gates, without paying attention I let go of Benny's hand and continue walking, then in an instant I feel my foot hit something and I face plant. 

BENNY'S POV

I look up and see Jasmine continued walking. I sigh and walk to catch up to her but in an instant a girl with blonde hair, big lips, and a evil smile trips Jasmine and her face smacks the floor. I feel my heart drop and I run to her. "My love are you okay?" I lift up her head gently and see her bottom lip quiver while her big green eyes flood over with tears. "Whats your problem?" I stand up angrily. Then I recognize the girl, it's Caitlyn Marie, my ex. 

"Oh hi Benny, sorry did I hurt your little girlfriend?" She starts laughing. I pick Jasmine up off the ground and shake my head.

"If you ever touch her again I promise you ill get my sister to beat your ass" Just as I finish my sentence the gang runs over concerned. Michelle, Angelina, and Marissa all walk over angry. 

"You really are starting problems on the first day of school" Michelle asks annoyed and Caitlyn laughs, 

"You all are pathetic" then Jasmine finally starts feeling better, bad news.

JASMINE'S POV

I feel upset that I just stayed in Benny's arms while his ex talked crap. Finally my head stops hurting so I lift up my head and see Caitlyn's stupid face still talking. Without a word I quickly lift my fist and sock her in the face "Keep playing with me" I look at her as her nose bleeds. Then a teacher runs up, 

"All of you to the principles office NOW!" I sigh and grab Benny's hand. We all walk towards the office and then get separated. Finally I get called into the office and the principle is a small women with long brown hair and light brown eyes. 

"Hello ms. Jasmine, please have a seat." I nod and sit down in front of her. "So please tell me exactly what happened." I nod and take a deep breathe before starting,

"So I had just walked into the gates and I had walked away from my boyfriend Benny for like three seconds, then Caitlyn Marie tripped me. I smacked my face on the floor then long story short I socked her in her face." I shrug and the principle nods. 

"Okay, thank you, you can go back to class with your friends, I'll call you all in tomorrow." I nod and smile while walking out, 

"Thank you have a good day." I smile and walk towards Benny. I wrap my arms around him and sigh, he's my safe space.
