'I have loved you since we were 18', Melody Grey sang along to the song as she stuffed the last piece of her breakfast into her mouth and reached for her backpack and car keys.
'Chew your food Mel', Mrs. Grey called as she waved Mel goodbye.
After waving her mom goodbye and grabbing her coat, Mel headed for her car and started driving to her school. Roosevelt Public High School was not far away. Just a 10-minute ride. She pulled into the parking next to a sleek red Audi. Her car was a black Mazda CX-5.
Just as she got out, she was greeted with a simple 'Hey' by Nicholas Wood as he dribbled a basketball and walked towards the school building. Nicholas Peter Wood was the hottest guy in school and Melody's biggest crush. Just small act like waving he did always brought butterflies to her stomach. She blushed and stuttered out a hey in return.
'Mel! Over here!', Zoey and Amy shouted, making Mel turn. She spotted them near the entrance of the school building.
Mel waved to them and walked to them after she took backpack and made sure that she locked her car. Zoey and Amy squealed as Mel walked over with her cheeks still red. Zoey and Amy have been her best friends for a very long time. Mel shushed them and they walked to their lockers to grab whatever stuff they need for their first class. Together they made their way into class.
