A few minutes later Mel emerged from the changing room with the dress on.
'You are so getting that', Amy said.
'No buts', Zoey said as if she predicted what Mel is going to say.
Mel smirked and changed back to her normal clothes. She paid for it and they left the shop to get some cute shoes to match the dress.
Shoe shopping did not take much time. After trying on different types of shoes they quickly got the one they all agreed on.
'So, shopping's over. What should we do next?', Amy asked them as the trio left the shop.
'I need ice-cream. Shopping just made me so bloody hungry.', Mel said searching for an ice-cream shop. 'Over there, c'mon guys', Mel ushered them to an ice-cream vending machine.
'Fine, but why do you sound extra British when you're hungry.' Amy said noticing Mel's thick English accent.
It was true. Mel was born in London and she moved to New York when she was 13 because her father got a transfer.
'You know we have about an hour to kill. We could shop for more outfits.' Zoey said without averting her eyes from her phone.
'Can't I'm skint.' Mel said.
'Me too. I'm broke', Amy added.
Just as they were wondering what to do next Mel's phone buzzed. She picked it up and saw that the message was from her mom.
Hi Mel. Can you come home now? Your brother's home.
She sighed. She was quite excited to meet her brother. She showed Amy and Zoey the text. They got into her car and they drove to her house.
