The first class was English. As much as Zoey and Amy hated school, Mel didn't mind because she was good at it. Mel was the kind of girl who is not really popular but not the weird ones too. She always manages to top the class without being a freaky nerd. She the girl who does not care about anything like the future or her appearance and lives life on her own terms. She is the one who could get on with anybody and almost everybody loved her.
The three made their way to the seats quickly before the bell rang. Just then Mr. Arthur walked in and greeted the class.
'Morning guys. Here are your graded test papers from the test you guys wrote last week.', he said handing the test papers to Brian Gilbert and gesturing him to distribute them to their rightful owners.
'Ms. Grey I want to meet you after the class ends.', he said as started to write something on the black board. Mel nodded in return.
What could it be? Mel thought. She turned to her friends to see if they have clue. They shook their head in return. Mel thought about it for the rest of the class.
Once the class was over Mel grabbed her backpack and waited for everyone to leave the room and walked towards Mr. Arthur.
'Oh, hey Mel!', he said noticing her.
'Ummm... you wanted to talk to me?'
'Yes, about that, do you remember the speech you did on the "world for introverts"? About a month ago?'
'Yes sir', Mel said as she nodded her head. She had done a speech on the world for introverts and how it does not accept them. She added many topic related jokes to make it funnier. And it turned out pretty good. She was recorded and it was submitted to the speech competition. The results weren't out yet. She had waited for the results for a long time until she finally gave up and forgot about it.
'The results are out and, you won! Guess what the prize is!', he suddenly exclaimed.
'Awesome! What is it Mr. Arthur?'
'You will be interviewing One Direction at the Met Gala this year!'
