Chapter 12

It had been a few days since Lauren first heard Fourth Harmony’s new single Red and she couldn’t stop listening to it, she played it all the time, it was permanently on repeat. She didn’t understand why she tortured herself that way. Just hearing Camila’s voice did things to her she couldn’t explain and listening to the lyrics made her cry. So she was a hot and sad mess at all time. She pondered over Casey’s suggesting of going and seeing Camila and making her talk to her but she couldn’t get herself to do it, her ego was bruised and her pride wouldn’t allow it but God how she missed her.

It was nights like this that Lauren would get on Tumblr and look at pictures of Camila. She was able to resist the urge for the pass few months but she couldn’t take it anymore. She logged on and started scrolling through the Camila Cabello tag. When she started scrolling it wasn’t just the usual pictures, it was an abundance of pictures with a boy named Austin. At first she didn’t want to believe it but there were pictures of them kissing and videos of them flirting and playing ping-pong and Lauren wanted to make that Austin fella swallow the ping-pong whole. The feelings she was feeling were new and after a few minutes she decided that they were jealousy. A feeling she had never experienced before. Lauren had never wanted to be something she wasn’t or wanted something she didn’t have like she wanted Camila. The Harmonizer were calling them “Camaustin”, fuck Camaustin Lauren thought, what about Camren. So before she could do anything crazy she shut her computer and went to bed.

“Ally can I talk to you?” Camila walked into Ally’s hotel room.

“Of course, what wrong?” Ally look at Camila with concern.

“I have a question,” Camila sat on the bed by Ally. “If you were given an ultimatum and you made a choice that made other people happy, but it destroyed you. What would you do?” Camila waited as Ally considered the question.

“Camila that’s a tough one, can you elaborate?”

“Well, lets say that one option ruins the life of people you love and the other one ruins your life?”

“Let me guess, you choose the one that ruined your life? Camila just be straight what are you talking about?” Ally waited for Camila to come clean.

“I can’t tell you Ally.”

“I’m just going to take a wild guess here and say that this has to do with you and Lauren, and why you broke up with her all of a sudden. Camila I know you are crazy for that girl. What happened?”

“I really can’t tell you, but all I know is that I miss her, so much.” Camila’s eyes started to tear up.

“Then why are you with Austin?”

“Because, she’s been dating all these people and it makes me so mad to read about her in the tabloids. So I started to date Austin to get over her.” Camila had been reading about Lauren going on dates for the last couple of months and it made her so jealous she couldn’t deal with it.

“And you also want her to read about you going out with Austin to make her jealous, right?” Ally waited for Camila to confess.
