Dave's eyes smoldered as he slowly opens them. The bright light blinds him. He grones as he puts a hand on his face, shielding it from the unrelenting beams of light.
"Oh, you're awake," a strange voice says, walking over to where Dave was at.
Dave moans as he pushes himself up, rubbing his eyes. "Where am I?" he askes.
"You're in the infirmary, Prince Dave." The voice says, handing him a glass of water.
Dave hesitantly grabbed the water from him. "You're the person I saw when I first got here."
"Indeed, I am."
Dave gave him a confused look as he took a sip of the liquid, "So who are you then?"
The guy sat on the edge of the bed, "I'm Dream."
"Your name is Dream?" Dave replied, giving him a bewildered expression.
Dream tilted his head, "Yeah. My name is the most "normal" as in "normal" for you. Just wait until you meet more people."
"How do you know that I'll linger here? I don't recognize this place at all, much less you." Dave said, shifting his body so that his legs dangled off off the pallet.
"Ohh, I know you'll stay. You'll be exposed if you don't." Dream said, getting up. "Oh, and change into these. Your robe screams royalty. With these, you'll fit right in." Dream states as he's handing Dave a pile of clothes.
"What are these?" He asks.
"You want to fit in, right? If you don't want to get spotted and get dragged back to the Sleepy Kingdom... I recommend you use a fake name and change a few features." Dream says, smirking. You couldn't tell that he was smirking underneath his mask, but I assure you, he was.
Dave's eyes got wide. "How do you know I ran away?"
"It's quite apparent. You don't have guards. You're stacked with money and food. Not to mention some "how to do" books and stuff to write letters. Do I really need to say more?" Dream replied.
"Yeah... Um... I'll take those threads."
Dream left the room while Dave started to change. There was a white blouse just like the one he was wearing, but with fewer ruffles. Dave slipped it on. The fabric itched his pale skin, but he would have to get over it if that meant not getting caught. There were a pair of baggie red slacks. They fell down to halfway below his legs. He slipped on a set of white knee stockings and a pair of tight leather thigh-high black boots. He put on a black cut-sleeved vest so you could still see his white blouse, and for the final touch, he put a black belt around his waist instead of his sash.
Dave opened the door signaling that he's all dressed and that Dream could come in again. "I look like a peasant."
