Reader pov-
"I'll be back in a second" I said as I walked up the stairs leading out of the basement , out into the Forman driveway. once at the top of the stairs, I saw Kitty lent against the porch railing smoking in her nurses uniform.
After a few seconds of walking towards her , she noticed my presence and gave me a warm smile.
"hello sweetie"
"hi mrs Forman"
Once stood beside her , I got my freshly rolled cigarette out, brought it up to my lips, lit it and took a drag.
"you know sweetie , as much as I like your company, you really shouldn't smoke. Especially at your age"
You looked at her and then to her cigarette questioningly. She soon realised what you meant by your look and slowly hid the cigarette behind her back.
You shared eye contact for a second before you both burst out laughing.
kitty tried smoking while hysterically laughing with you but as a result just blew out her cigarette. After calming herself down from your shared laughing fit , she reached into her bag and discovered that her water and spilled out , drenching her box of matches
"oh crap, these were the last box" she sighed
After hearing this, you reached into your pocket and pulled out a spare lighter
"Here you go Mrs Forman" you said passing it to her
"Thank you sweetie" She used the lighter before taking a puff and attempting to pass the lighter to you
"You keep it , I have a bunch"
"Thank you so much. Your the sweetest thing. Why don't you stay for dinner? I remember you saying you liked *insert favourite food* I'll make it for you"
Your eyes widened in excitement before replying "Are you sure it's not to much trouble, Mrs Forman"
"Of course not and you can call me kitty, I have known you your whole life, no need to be so formal. Why don't we go in , you could sit in the kitchen then we can chat while I cook?"
you nodded your head before following her into the house
