"Why are you protecting it?" The black haired man asked.
"He's my brother! My older brother!" Nezuko yelled while Tanjiro furiously growled from a distance. The man furrowed his brows.
"You call that thing your brother?" The man said before dashing towards Tanjiro while gripping tightly onto his sword.

"Brother.. Tanjiro, please wake up!" Nezuko whimpered, shaking Tanjiros cold body. She glanced at what was left of her family, wincing at the sight of them all, dead. "This has to be all a bad dream.. It has to be! I can't.." Nezuko teared up, grabbed onto Tanjiros arms, and put him over her back.
She took off as soon as possible, desperately hoping to find any kind of help. Tanjiros heart is still beating! If I can get him to a doctor he might survive! Nezuko thought as she mindlessly dashed off, forgetting to put on her shoes. The pain of the icy terrain soon hit her and slowed her down to a halt. "I forgot to put on shoes. Tanjiro won't mind if I take his shoes right?"
She placed Tanjiro's unconscious body onto the snowy floor as she slipped his shoes off and put them on. It was a few sizes bigger but it was enough to get them both to safety.
"I'm sorry Tanjiro, but I need these.." Nezuko said apologetically as she picked Tanjiro back up, and continued to run down the mountain, sliding down slopes of thick snow. Soon after though, the climates in which she traveled began to take a toll on her. Breathing in icy air while also running out of air, slowing down due to the cold, slowly but surely Tanjiro's heavy body became too much for her. "The air's so icy, my lungs hurt. I have to keep moving forward. Move my legs faster!"
Nezuko continued to push on, knowing it would be all worth the risk in the end. "We still have a long way before we reach town. I have to hurry! I swear I won't let you die. You're all I have left Tanjiro!" Nezuko teared up at this realization, making it all the more harder to keep moving forward. But she was persistent, and pushed on. "I'm going to save you, no matter what!"
As she was running past trees and piles of snow, Tanjiro began to awaken, causing Nezuko to trip and fall over a connecting cliff. She fell into a thick pile of snow which saved her life. Frantically searching for her brother who she lost sight of, she hoped and prayed to see him safe. She then found Tanjiro was ominously standing in the forest.
