“Li? Soph? You guys here?” Zayn calls out through Liam’s apartment. I follow him into the apartment amazed by all of the supernatural stuff. Like gadgets and potions. I’m guessing they were Sophia’s considering she’s the only witch in the house. “Yo! Zayn!” A smooth, manly voice calls while coming down the stairs. “Hey Li! I’d like you to meet Louis. Louis, this is Liam.” Liam’s slightly taller than me with short, light brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. He’s rather attractive if you asked me. “Nice to meet you Louis! I’ve heard lots about you.” Liam says sweetly, shaking my hand. “I could say the same to you.” He smiles. “You guys wanna drink?” Liam asks. “I’m on it. Tea Lou?” I thank Zayn before he disappears into the kitchen. “Er, Liam, I need to ask you about something that happened today. In private. Zayn can’t hear this, otherwise he’d be heart broken.” I say quietly. He nods and pulls me into a separate room. “Uh, today I ah… You know Mr. Styles, the demon? Yeah… well he kinda.. kissed me in detention and i’ve had pains in m-” I’m cut off. “Shit! No! No!” Liam cusses. “W-What is that bad?” I panick. “Louis did you kiss him back?” Liam rushes. “Liam, I couldn’t control myself. It was like my body was being taken over. I didn’t mean to kiss him back. Please don’t tell Zayn. He’ll hate me!” I cry. “No, this isn’t about Zayn, Louis. You could die! SOPHIA? SOPHIA!” He calls. Seconds later a beautiful woman, who i’m guessing was Sophia came running down. “What is it Li-Li?” She aks. “Do you have an elixer for a demon's kiss? The bloody monster kissed Louis.” Her eyes widen. She looks at me sorrowfully. “Oh my God. That’s horrible. I don’t have anything that could help reverse a demon’s kiss. I’m so sorry Louis.” She cries, pulling me into a tight embrace.
“Hey I got the drinks, why are you guys down here? What’s going on?” Zayn asks after looking up and seeing Liam and Sophia with a worried expression. “Liam, no, please!” I beg him not to tell. “Louis, he has to know. Your life is on the line.” Liam argues. “His life is- What!?” Zayn asks confused and worried. “The demon kissed him.” Liam say pushing him into the lounge with Sophia and I in tow. “Wha?- And what does that have to do with his life!?” Zayn panics. “I haven’t even told Louis that. Sit down and I will tell you.” We all do as he a says. “When a demon kisses a human, they release a poison into the humans body causing the demon’s kiss to become an addiction to the human. The poison will spread throughout the humans body until it takes over them. The poison will fight what is left of the human inside the body and the human will fight the demon. If the human wins, your life will return to how it was before the kiss. Although, the demon will most likely win with a 70% to 30% chance. If the poison wins it will slowly and painfully turn you into a demon. There is a 50% chance of surviving the pain. However, if no one wins and your body has been fighting for too long, they’ll both eventually give up. The poison will die, and so will the human… which means you would die. Demon’s usually use this poison on a human if they want to make the human theirs. It’s almost like marking them.” Liam explains. “Why would he do that? Does he want me?” I ask, still trying to process the information. “How long do we have before the poison takes over his body?” Zayn asks, tears rolling down his cheeks. “The poison starts in the heart, I’m guessing you’ve been having chest pains Louis?” I nod. “After weakening the heart it takes over it, sending the poison into your bloodstreams and also starts to kill the human muscle and make newer, stronger ones that only a demon would have. The brain is the last place that it will reach. When - IF it does get into the brain it will change the way you think about things. It will make you think that killing is okay, that pain is a good thing. When that happens, that’s when you know that the demon has won.” Silence is cast over us. Why? I think to myself. Why me? Suddenly, pain shoots through my chest. I clutch my hands to it and I let out a yell of pain. They all rush to my side, saying things that would keep my mind off of the pain. “Okay, Loubear just try to relax. I know it’s hard but please, just try!” Zayn cries, pulling my head in between his hands and looking me in the eye. I do as he says. The pain eventually subsides and I collapse into Zayn’s chest with him whispering words of comfort into my hair. “Liam we should get him tested. See how far the poison has gotten. You set up the equipment, i’ll get the potion.” Liam nods in agreement. “Wha?” I ask weekly. “We’re gonna see how far the poison has gotten in your body Louis. It’s like an X-ray vision scan.” Liam explains, helping me up and taking me into a special room with a table and some sort of scan-y thing above it. He lays me down on the table as Sophia come in with a needle in hand. “Hey Lou, I’m just going to put this potion into you. Don’t worry it won’t harm you, it just makes the poison visible.” She gives the warning before piercing the needle into my arm and injecting the potion. Liam sits over by a laptop while Sophia positions the scanner and starts the first scan. “Has it come through Li?” She asks. “Yeah. It seems to still be trying to beat the heart. You’re a fighter, Lou. Usually it would have gotten into your bloodstream by now.” Liam says, zooming into the scan a bit more. “Can I still go to school?” I ask Liam. “Uh, yeah but take it easy. Don’t do anything that will get your heart rate up because if you do, your heart will start pumping the poison around your body faster. And uh, the poison that Mr. Styles gave you is addictive, you’ll just want more, so try not to pounce on him… Well.. Just try to stay as far away from him as possible.” I nod, sitting up from the table.
I make my way into the lounge and I sit with Zayn as the other two pack up the equipment. “I’m so sorry this has happened to you, Lou.” Zayn says, pulling me into his chest and kissing my head over and over. “You’re not mad..?” Zayn frowns. “Lou, why would I be mad? You couldn’t control yourself.” He replies. “Niall’s coming home soon and you know Ni, Li, Soph and I are gonna do whatever it takes to help you through this.” I smile weakly. “Thank you, Z. You have no idea how much that means to me.”

“Ashton, could you please solve this equation on the board?” Mrs. Flack asks. He nods and walks to the front of the classroom. He tries and fails at answering the equation, as expected. I laugh quietly at how wrong his answer is. I feel a shooting pain in my chest. Shit, not now! I get up and quickly escape the classroom without the teacher noticing. More pain floods into my chest. I make it to the restroom before collapsing onto the cold tiles and crying out. Suddenly I feel strong arms pulling me up into a hard chest and the soothing, husky voice of Mr. Styles. “Shh, you’re okay Lou. It’ll go away soon. Just relax.” He hushes rocking me back and forth. I whimper in pain. As the pain slowly disappears I sink into him, resisting the urge to just kiss him to get some more of the drug-like poison. “Why? Why m-me?” I stutter, crying into his chest. “Because Louis. I needed you to see who you truly belong to.” I look up at him with a confused expression. “I knew you and Zayn were in a relationship. I didn’t like that because you belong to me.” I shake my head. “No, I don’t! I don’t “belong” to anyone. And even if I did, what makes you think i’d belong to you?” I growl, pushing him away and leaning against the wall. “Because, Louis. Whatever I want, I get. Once I have my sight on something I will stop at nothing to get it.” He says, ending with a deep chuckle. “You’ll never get me!” He chuckles harder. “Oh, darling.. I already have.”.

“Do you want some dinner, Lou?” Zayn asks, standing up from Liam’s couch. Liam and Sophia agreed to let Zayn and I stay in one of their guest bedrooms so they could keep track of the poison and they knew Zayn wouldn’t leave my side so they let him stay too. “Yes please. Not too much though.” He nods, leave to fix up a bowl of soup for me. He comes back in moments later with the bowl and a spoon. After we have all eaten Liam suggests doing another scan. We make our way up to the room and get prepared. Sophia injects the potion again and scans, sending it through to Liam’s laptop. “It seems to have beaten your heart. Looks like it’s preparing to start invading your veins. Lou, this is going to be painful. It will have side effects from your body reacting to the poison.” Liam explains, sending me a sad look. “What kind of side effects?” I ask. “Uh.. Dizziness, exhaustion, cramp-like pains, vomiting, extremely bad fever, it will also give you a few hallucinations.” He answers, looking down.
How the hell am I supposed to get through this?
