Bella finished with her workout for the day and freshened up. On her way to the college class, a face in the crowd caught her eye. The woman's face was oddly familiar to her. They seemed to have similar features, but it could have just been a coincidence.

Bella shook her head about it.

In her Mechanical Engineering class, the professor had put up a presentation entitled The Laws of Thermodynamics.

" 'Morning everyone, hey you in the black! I like your shirt!" Professor Martin Yoder pointed at Bella. Everyone turned their heads towards Bella.

"Thanks." Bella mouthed and smiled. Her shirt said I got a dig bick. She was slightly embarrassed because this was the second time today that she was at the center of attention; she loved the shirt though.

"So today, I'm way too hungover to teach. So we're just going to have a refresher. Would anyone like to explain to the class what the second law of thermodynamics is?"

The one and the only lady who was in the hall with Bella sat next to her. The lady's name was Florence, and a fact of no significance: Florence loved dark academia.

Florence raised her hand and Professor Martin called on her.

"The second law of thermodynamic depicts that the total entropy of an isolated system can never reduce over time," Florence said.

"Well... Technically, you are right but I said to explain and not give me the textbook definition. Try again," suggested Professor Martin, who rolled his eyes.

"An entropy is the measure of the disorder of a system. Basically, the total change in entropy of a system and its surroundings will always increase for a spontaneous process." Florence tried again.

"Muy Bien Florence!" Professor Martin clapped with enthusiasm.

Bella just listened, she still had a hard time understanding what it meant. She was pursuing her master's in Mechanical Engineering. These are basic questions that were taught in the first year. She rubbed her head thinking what is her memory doing to her? Impossible. It was just a brainfart.

The clock struck 4 o'clock.

"Good gracious, thank god--who is a woman, y'all are dismissed. Move along." Professor Martin said, gesturing his students out of the lecture hall.
