"Mom, is she going to be okay?"

"Yes she's going to be just fine. Most of the medication is starting to leave her system, now we just need her to wake up to make sure it all gets out."

"Okay, but how about her cuts? Especially the one on her stomach."

"They'll heal. She just lost a lot of blood, so she's going to feel weak for a few days. You should probably call her parents to come pick her up."

"Can she just stay here, please? I'll take care of her if you don't want to."

"Okay, you've avoided this question way too many times. Why don't you ever want to talk to her parents? She needs help and I certainly will not be taking care of her."

"Mom, she doesn't talk to her parents. They completely abandoned her when she turned 18 and won't ever talk to her or answer when she calls or texts them. The last time she spoke to them was when they wanted money for her sister. That was all they wanted, not even a thank you. I was there with her."

"Well that doesn't explain why you won't talk to them."

"Mom, it's not right. If she doesn't talk to them, then I have no right to. Anyways, her mom hates me. She always has and the reason why they won't talk to her is because of me."

"And why now is that your fault? Hmm?" She gave him a cold stare and eyed him cautiously.

"Mom, we started dating at 14. Her parents didn't know. When she suddenly told them she had a boyfriend they didn't understand until her mom spilled the truth to her father and then they just separated them from their life."

"Poor girl. But if you knew why didn't you just ignore her? Remove her from your life"

"Because mom, I love her! I love her okay! Is that so hard for you to understand!? You used to love her, and now all because of that stupid kiss you can't forgive her for it!? Mom I told her to kiss me! Is that so hard for you to understand!?"

The young girl moaned and turned around on the couch. "What's going on? Why are you yelling"

"Dear you're awake. How are you feeling? Do you want me to bring you something?" The young man ran to her side and held her hand so she was able to sit up.

"I'm fine, but why are you yelling at your mom? Is something wrong? Should I go?"

"It's fine, don't worry about it. Do you want me to bring you some water? I'm guessing you probably have a headache from the bloodloss."

"No. What's wrong? Please tell me."

"It was just a small argument, there's nothing to worry about. My mom asked for you to stay here with us for a bit."

The young girl turned around and looked at the young man's mother. She saw the disapproval on her face and how she turned to face away from her. The young girl looked down at her hands and proceeded to cry. She knew crying would only make her feel worse, but she couldn't think of anything better to do.

"Dear, why are you crying?"

"Oh shut up! I've had enough of this! Go take her to her house and go to your father. See what he thinks of this mess." The young man's mother turned around in rage and walked up to where the girl sat and roughly picked her up to her feet. Not at all caring that she would most likely faint because she was still weak from all the bloodloss.

"Mom what the hell are you doing!? You're going to hurt her!"

"And I don't care! I've had enough of this. You are my son and I will not have you burdened by this girl. She can't even do anything for herself."

The young girl looked down in shame hearing the truth escaping the woman's mouth.

"I'll leave" she finally stated. "I'll leave this house and go home. I'll take care of myself and never speak to your son again. That is what you want?"

The young man's mother stood shocked. She didn't expect her to back down, but it was what she wanted. "Fine then. Go. Leave this household and I don't want to see you again. And I especially never want you to be around my son again. Do I find myself clear?"

"Yes ma'am. I'll go now."

She looked up at the man she loved wanting to say a million things, but not a single sound escaped from her. He was about to speak when she turned around and proceeded to walk away. She knew she would pass out before she made it home, but she didn't want to ask for a ride, much less say a word after what just happened.

"You know what, go take her home. But I want you to come straight back here and nowhere else. Do I make myself clear to both of you?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Good. Here are the car keys and I expect you to come back home in no more than 15 minutes Ian"

"Yes mom. Here let me take you to the car."
