"Wake up little one"

"What time is it? I'm really tired"

"It's 9 o'clock, but I made you breakfast like I said I would."

"No...no dear you didn't have to. You already did so much for me last night and- oh my- I'm so sorry"

"Haha. What are you sorry about now?"

"I fell asleep. In your arms. Oh god I'm so sorry."

"Don't worry my love, it's okay. You look very cute when you're asleep by the way."

The young man laid a tray down in the girl's lap with orange juice and some toast just the way she liked it. He sat there with her until he made sure she ate everything, because he knew that if he didn't check on her she wouldn't eat at all.

"Dear this is too much. I can't possibly eat all of this. And what are you going to eat?"

"Well too bad, you're eating everything on that tray. And don't worry about me, I ate earlier while I made you breakfast and washed my dishes."

"Dear, you didn't have to do that. Here let me get up and clean that up."

"No. Eat your food. I already washed everything and put it away and even got you something from the store so you can eat later. No buts"

"Fine. But I owe you, and your mom for allowing you to come here with me."

"About that. I got into a fight with my mom and she kinda kicked me out of her house. I guess I'm permanently living with my dad now."

"Oh. Oh I'm so sorry! That's my fault for giving you that stupid kiss."

"Hey don't worry about it. I asked you for it and you just did what I asked like you normally do. And by the way, I really enjoyed it."

She looked down and ate the rest of her food in silence. When she was finished he picked up her tray and told her to lie down for a bit and rest after waking her up. She fell asleep for another hour and woke up to a bird chirping outside her window. She felt someone's hand stroking her hair and smiled at the thought of possibly waking up to that every morning.

"Good morning beautiful" he smiled down at her.

"Good morning again."

She looked up at the man she loved and dearly wanted to kiss his lips. He looked perfect in the warm sunlight streaming through the room and his smile was intoxicating. She leaned towards him and almost sealed the gap between them until she remembered what had happened the day prior and quickly backed away. She got up and sat at the edge of the bed. She stared at her hands and hugged herself trying to console her body before she began crying again.

"Hey darling what's wrong? You were about to kiss me again. Is there something wrong with me?"

"No. Oh no there is nothing wrong with you. You're perfect in every way possible."

"Then what is bothering you my love?"

"It's just that, whenever I see you, you look so perfect and then I remember yesterday and I'm just so sorry for ruining everything. Especially the relationship between you and your mom. I know it was finally getting better after so many years."

"Hey it's okay to think about yesterday. I know it was amazing, but it's not your fault that my mom treated you like that after all we did was kiss. It wasn't even that bad."

"We were making out on the couch! How is that not bad? You were falling asleep and I sat down next to you and began tracing your lips. I basically started it all!"

"Dear the fact that we were making out isn't that bad. Your 20 and I'm 21, therefore us making out isn't bad. If we were doing something else, then my mom has the right to get mad, but we were just kissing, not even with tongue to make it seem like something more."

"I know, but it just seems wrong. We were in her house after all."

"Dear, listen to me. I asked you to kiss me and you did. And since we were on the couch you had no choice but to sit on my lap that way. We were just kissing, that's all. Don't burden yourself with something you didn't do."

"I know...I'm going to get ready now, it's almost noon."
