Reborn [Muzan x Reader] DISCONTINUED

Chapter 1: Powers

A thousand years ago, before demons existed, there was a family that worked with fire. There was a mother, a father, a son and a daughter, her name is Saito. Every new year the father had to perform a ritual to the fire god, Karura, to ensure their safety. (Tanjiro vibes, amiright)

Unfortunately, the father passed and the oldest child had to take over. That was Saito's job. When she performed the ritual for the first time, she was alone. Her mother wasn't watching. She must've made a mistake, because the ritual went differently than when her father did it. Instead of flames lighting the torches, they fully engulfed them. Trees began to sway and the air became so cold, her limbs hurt. Then while she was chanting the mantra, she heard a voice in the forest repeat her every word. When she was finished, she stopped to listen, but the voice stopped aswell.

Everything fell silent. No more moving leaves, no more wind, just silence. Then a bright burst of red flame appeared in front of her, and from the fire rose a bird looking creature. What really freaked her out though, was that it could speak.

"I am Karura, the fire god. For a while now, I have been looking for a worthy suitor to give my powers to. You are exactly what I've been looking for." The big bird said quite blankly. Saito wasn't scare of it, more fascinated by it. "Powers? What kind?" She asked, slightly tilting her head. It was a bit strange that a big firey bird thing was talking to her about powers, but it just looked so cool, so of course she found it interesting. "My power of rebirth. I am able to be reborn when I die, so I live on forever. I need someone to give those powers to, and you are the one."

It took her a minute to process this information, but she wasn't even the slightest bit hesitant with her answer. "Alright! I'll take your powers!" It looked like the bird smiled, but it was hard to see since it was so blinding. The bird raised its wings and jumped forward, into her. She felt dizzy at first, but got used to it quickly.

"Powers of rebirth, huh?"

First chapter complete at 1:54 am. I don't wanna sleep so I started writing this story. Ha. What do you think of the first chapter though? 0: (I got the idea of the fire god bird thing name from Blue Exorcist. Great anime. Totally recommend)
It was fun to make. I had this story in mind for a while, and decided to put it into words. Next chapter is gonna be a little bit different thoughh- just wait for that.
