Chapter 5: Fight, and a letter.

Anime spoilers!
I honestly don't feel like watching the fight scene with Susamaru and Yahaba again, so this might be different than in the anime, sorry. Anyway enjoy.

The entire room is destroyed now, only dust can be seen. However, when it clears, in front of them are 2 odd-looking people. One is a girl with black and orange short hair, a kimono and 2 temaris (I think that's what they're called). The other is a boy with dark brown hair, a green (I think) kimono, and.. eyes on his hands?! Ew..

"Let's see.. a demon slayer.. Yahaba, that's him! The one he sent us after! And look.. the fugitive is also here! Great! We're gonna get a great reward for these two's heads. You think we need the others?"

"No. Only those two. We can get rid of the rest."

The eye hand demon jumped up into a tree for cover, while the other one is just out in the open. She throws one of her balls at us all, at which, surprisingly, I don't flinch. Nezuko jumps in front of me and prepares to kick the ball away.

"No! You can't kick them!"

Smash

As soon as Nezuko came in contact with the ball, her leg blew clean off. I quickly grabbed her and brought her close to Lady Tamayo, hoping she could do something. While I wait for them, I watch Tanjiro just having a staring contest with the demon. Does he think he's gonna win like that? What is he? 5?

Again, Nezuko stands in front of me, fully healed. So this is demon regeneration.. Nezuko and Tanjiro stand next to each other, and then both run to different demons, attacking them simultaneously. I just stand back and watch in awe. How are they so good at fighting? Are all demon slayers this good? Wow..

Nezuko and the ball demon have been kicking around those balls for a while now, but they stop when the ball flies past the opposing demon.

"Do you know what Muzan Kibutsuji really is?" Lady Tamayo stands up and asks. She's talking calmly, while the other demon is yelling.

"He is an amazing and powerful leader! He's a great man!"

"He's a coward. Hiding in his home while he sends out other demons to do his dirty work is really pathetic."

"No! Muzan is not a coward! He's not pathetic!" Her eyes widen and she covers her mouth. She turns around and starts pleading and begging for her life. But she's facing a wall. Is she scared of the bricks?

My eyes also widen as a huge arm grows from her mouth, and she starts melting into a mess of blood.

Oh god.. what was that? What kind of massacre did I just witness? Did the bricks do that? Remind me to never make bricks angry..

"You forgot about the curse." Those words get my attention.

"What curse, Lady Tamayo?" I tilt my head and ask.

"If a demon says Muzan's name, the cells in their body implode, and they die horribly."

Oh good.. it wasn't the bricks..

When I look back to Tanjiro, I see him being thrown around like a frisbee. There's no time to play catch, Tanjiro! We have a demon to- I look back at the demon and see hes disintegrating. Good. After all that, everyone goes inside, but I decide to leave. I wave everyone goodbye, except for Nezuko. She gets a hug from me. I finally leave and decide to head back to my estate.

Ellie must be worried now.. I better hurry..

After getting back home, I get scolded by Ellie and sent to my room. What is she? My mom? I decide to listen to her orders, and write a letter to my brother.

Dear Kagaya onii-san

Just recently while in the village nearby me, I met someone. Wel, not met, just saw, I guess.

He had the prettiest black curled hair, and was wearing a fancy suit. And his eyes were like rubies staring right into my soul. They were magnificent.

But when I walked past him, I saw an image of being held by him. Is that weird or normal for first encounters? I wouldn't know, I haven't been out in a while.

And now the only name I can think of Muzan Kibutsuji.. I heard that name when I walked past him, and someone else also mentioned it. Do you know who that is, brother?

Also, I bought you a gift. It'll be attached to this letter. I hope you like it.
