Chapter 4: Encounter

It's been about a thousand years since witch hunts have been declared illegal. And now the story follows the sister of Kagaya Ubuyashiki, leader of demon slayers. Her name is Y/n Ubuyashiki and she is a beautiful h/c girl, with lavender eyes that shine as brightly as the sun and a smile that melts anyone's heart. All the men in the village near her did whatever she wanted whenever she visited. They spent all their money on expensive jewelry or clothes she never asked for, and always followed her around to make sure she was safe.

But she never wanted any of this attention, and therefore had to start wearing a hood when visiting. Her handmaiden, Ellie, always encouraged her to go with the attention and act proud, since it's 'good for her reputation' but Y/n never cared about her reputation. All she wanted was to explore and go to festivals. She lived very, very far away from her brother and had to write letters. But it took about 2 weeks to get an answer everytime.

"I'm heading out now! There's a special on jewelry today at the village and I wanna buy something for my brother!" Y/n yelled as she was opening the front door. She knew Ellie would protest against going outside with a hood on instead of a beautiful kimono, so she quickly left.

Upon entering the village, all the men stared at her already. They were wondering if their precious Y/n was hiding from them, and she was.

She snuck into an alleyway, and when she came out the other side, she was greeted by an old lady with a little stand of beautiful jewelry. There were hairpins, necklaces and bracelets.

"Good morning, dear." The old lady greeted her with a weak smile
"Good morning, miss. I'm looking for something I could give my brother. Have anything?"

"Why, yes. Here" She calls her over and hands her a beautiful bracelet with a wisteria charm attached to it.

(I don't draw bracelets very well and it's very rushed :< sorry)

"It's beautiful!" Y/n says as she hands the lady a pouch full of coins. To her surprise, the ouch is returned back to her by the lady.

"That's my payment. Please take it." Y/n says, pushing back the pouch.

"No. You come by here so often, that this is my way of saying thank you, miss Ubuyashiki." The old lady says, giving her a close-eyed smile.

How does she know who I am? Does she recognise me under my hood? Y/n thought. She gratefully took the bracelet and left, waving at the lady as she goes back into the alleyway. When she looks in front of her, there's a tall man in a fancy suit, with curled hair and beautiful plum red eyes. When they walk past each other, they both flinch a little, and look at each other. They just stand there, staring into each other's eyes in shock.

What was that? What did I just feel? I saw an image.. sitting next to this guy.. and then being held by him? What?

Stranger's POV

I just finished killing those drunk teenagers. If they just stayed out of my way, they'd be fine.

Snap

"What is your bidding?"

Susamaru and Yahaba are behind me now.

"Kill the demon hunter with hanafuda earrings and I'll reward you."

"Hai (yes)" They simultaneously say.

They both vanish and I continue walking. I just look straight and see the other exit of this alleyway. There's a girl walking towards me. I'll just ignore her. I walk past her, but as soon as I do, I feel something. I stop and look back at her, and see she's also looking at me. What was that? I saw an image of holding.. her.. but she's gone, isn't she? Why did I just see a memory of her.. who is this girl in front of me?

3rd person POV

Y/n and the man just stare at each other, until he starts walking towards her. She snaps out of her daze and starts backing away. He starts speeding up, so she quickly runs away. She runs out of the alleyway and towards a secluded place, with nobody around. She sees the man is not behind her, but she also sees she's been cornered. She leans against the wall, and yelps when she falls right through.

She lands on her behind, and looks behind her. She sees a mint haired boy staring at her with wide eyes. His expression turns angry as he yells something.

"Lady Tamayo! Intruder!"

A red haired boy with a checkered haori and a sword, and a lady with black hair and a beautiful kimono walk outside and stand next to the other boy.

"That woman gives off a scent of fear and shock, but also kindness. I don't think she means any harm." The redhead says.

Why does he look so sweet? His eyes look kind..

"Miss, what's your name?" The lady asks her.

"Y/n.. Ubuyashiki.."

The lady's eyes widen, and she gestures for her to follow.
Y/n follows everyone after they enter. She sits down, and sees another girl laying on the floor, next to the redhead.

"Let my introduce us all. I'm Tamayo, and that is Yushiro. And he is.."

"Tanjiro. And this is my sister, Nezuko."

"Me, Yushiro and Nezuko are all demons, and Tanjiro is a demon slayer. Are you really an Ubuyashiki?"

Y/n just nods. I'm surrounded by people that could kill me anytime they wanted to. That's fun. She thinks sarcasticly (if that's possible?)

"Your brother is Kagaya Ubuyashiki, right?" Yushiro and Tanjiro just watch them while Nezuko holds Tanjiro hand.

Again, Y/n just nods.

"Do you know he's the leader of demon slayers?"

Again, just a nod.

"Do you know anything about demon slaying?"

This time, Y/n responds with shaking her head.

Everything stays silent for a while.

Until..

"Get down!"

Two balls fly through the wall and keep flying around the room, until they hit Yushiro's head off.

"Yushiro!"

This chapter was pretty fun to write. It's also a little longer than normal. Hope you enjoyed this chapter. Also, I want to know if I should start adding little drawings to certain places like I did with the bracelet. Should I? Tell me in the comments. And please tell me if you have ideas.
