The written exam for recommended students was over and Y/n had a good feeling about it. Sure these types of exams are not meant to be fully filled out with all their questions, but the questions Y/n could answer in the hour they had, he felt like having answered correctly.
Of course, the Phantom Quirk user had to get the examiners attention so he would be given his test papers which resulted in his seat neighbor nearly having a heart attack. The black haired girl with the way too mature physique for a 14 year old had jumped out of her seat thanks to the jumpscare that is Y/n talking to someone. Unfortunately it also resulted in some of the over students laughing at the poor girls reaction. This had greatly angered Y/n as he saw the embarrassment and sadness in the girls face.
Y/n: "You all do know that none of you had noticed me until I got your attention. What happened to her could have happened to all of you if you were the poor sob that got the seat closest to me. All of you should be ashamed about laughing about what happened." Some of the students at least had the decency to look ashamed of their action. "I apologize miss, my Quirk has the unfortunate effect of turning me unnoticable which often results in me scaring someone when getting their attention."
Girl: "O-oh. Well, no harm done, it is not like you meant to scare me. But we should focus on the task ahead." Y/n nodded and turned back to the front where Present Mic looked at the pair waiting for their signal to start the timer. The rest of the test had been done in near complete silence although Y/n was certain he heard someone having a mental breakdown over one question. Funnily enough the boy picked the number 7 as his answer on a question where you had to put in a name as an answer.
Once the time was over Y/n handed in his test and left although he did not get far until bumping into Nezu.
Y/n: "I apologize sir, I must have been too deep in thought." Y/n quickly apologized to his possibly future principle.
Nezu: "No harm done!" The chimera said happily. "But it is a nice coincidence that I have bumped into you mister Kurokage. Mind acompanying me for a bit?"
Y/n: "Not at all, please lead the way." The duo began to walk the hallways of UA and Y/n made sure to memorize every floor.
Nezu: "How do you think you did on the test?" The chimera asked.
Y/n: "It is hard to say seeing that most question intentionally had multiple correct answers." Y/n heard Nezu chuckle. "I guess the test has a second side to it which remains hidden until we are given our results."
Nezu: "Sharp as always mister Kurokage. I am interested, what do you think is this hidden side of the test?"
Y/n: "It's testing our way of thinking. For example the question about how you would handle a burning building. One answer would be to make sure that noone is inside the flames, another to prevent further buildings from catching fire and yet another to extinguish the flames. All of these options are equally viable and correct to an extent, but not everyone would be put them as their answer. Depending on their Quirk only few will say that they are able to extinguish the flames. Those who still put it down either think or know that they are able to do something even without the right Quirk. Additionally I think the test is also used to look at our heroic spirit. Some questions were intentionally a choice between one evil and another. Saving a childs life and risking the escape of a villain or stopping the villain but risking the life of the child, comes to mind."
Nezu: "And what did you answer on that particular question?" The principal asked interested.
Y/n: "Save the child and take a picture of the car and villain. Remember the way he is fleeing towards and call in backup. When it is the choice between capturing a villain now and risking a life or saving a life and capture the villain later why take the risk? Yes it was not specificaly stated that the child will be hit but it is still a risk you should keep in mind, not to forget that without the right Quirk or equipment, stopping the vehicle the villain is in, would be extremely difficult and could even lead to more civilians beeing put into danger."
