He said goodbye and drove out of my drive way. Jaily waved and I waved. I walked back to the house.
Ugh! I forgot to ask her about the locket. I'll call her later.

My dad asked me why Jaily left. I told him that she left because her brother needed her to come with him.

I went to my room and closed the door. I held the locket. I opened it.

I need to know what it is!

I didn't see darkness. I saw my mother. She was holding a baby. My father was next to her. They looked younger. They were smiling and looking at the baby. The baby was me.

It switched. I saw my mother holding the same baby. She was screaming. Holding me tight. A massive hand was reached out to her. She was trying to run but she couldn't move. The land behind her was collapsing. The hand was coming from the side of the collapsing land. My mother went lower. She curled in a ball. I was hidden.

I took my hand out. I had cut my hand from the middle of my pinkie to my wrist. It was bleeding. I quickly went to the bathroom and grabbed some bandages. Once I got to the bathroom my hand had stopped bleeding. In fact, the cut had healed. I was surprised.

How could my hand have healed that fast?! What was that shiny thing that cut my hand?

I returned to my room to look at the shiny thing again. I opened the drawer and cautiously took out the object. I placed it on my bed. It...
