THE ROOM felt cold with the moon shining through Damien's windows while he talked to the cute person.

"I promise, Ezra. All right, I'll see you in a short moment. Bye!" Not even a second after saying that, Ezra hanged up the phone.

He really hanged up without saying goodbye?

Damien, with red cheeks, left the building and quickly got into his car; he doesn't want to make the baby wait for him much longer.

Meanwhile, a pouting Ezra hugged the cat plushie too hard out of fury. Linda laughed at the scene and went to his son to assure him that Damien will come shortly, "Don't be impatient, Ezra," she laughed.

"Ugh, but mommy! Dee is coming!! Yay!" shouted Ezra. The angriness he was experiencing had left and now excitement came in. The boy started jumping on the couch still holding his toy.

"Seems like you like Damien. Do you?" Linda smirked at her son, who blushed brightly. She grabbed Ezra's hand to let him down of the couch and made him sit correctly.

Ezra became quite for a second, then after thinking about her mother's question; he nodded, "Yes, I like Damien, but as a friend!" he answered which took Linda by surprised, "Ezra has to first get to know Dee then he can ask me out! Right, mommy?" Ezra looked back at his mother who chucked, one or two tears falling out of her eyes.

She smiled at the thought of her son's first friend, he finally had a friend! It brought her to joy knowing that Ezra was not going to be alone. She was old now, a 57 year-old woman that had many health problems. She didn't want her only son to be left alone after she's gone.

Ezra noticed the change of mood and looked at his mom with worried. Had he made her sad?

"Is mommy sad? I promise to not change mommy for Dee. Mommy is forever!" Ezra jumped into his mother and hugged her tightly. Even if he had a new friend, his mother would always be his bestfriend.

"Aw, love, I am extremely happy for you. Now, go take a bath, I've prepared you the water." Linda quickly said then left to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her, her son, and their quest.

Ezra ran upstairs, entered the bathroom and quickly took his clothes off. He got into the tub, spilling a tiny amount of water, and relaxed his whole body. For Ezra; bath time was the best, although she always needed his mother to scrub his back.

"Mom! My back!" he shouted. Linda came in shooking her head, "Sorry, mommy." Ezra apologized.

After a few more minutes later, Exra had finally finished his bath. He dried himself and dressed the clothes his mother put next to the sink, which consisted on brown trousers and a maroon sweater. And of course, some navy blue fuzzy socks.

Ezra cautiously stepped down the stairs, when he heard the front door of the house ringed. Damien is here! He ran to the door and opened it to see the tall man he considered as a friend.
Ezra remembered why he was so timid being around him. The man was extremely tall and handsome.

"Hi, Dee." Ezra shyly greeted, looking down with red cheeks.

The tall man looks down at Ezra and smiles at him, wishing he could suck the life of the man in front of him. Damien looked up at his surroundings, everything in the house was full of color. It gave a hint of warmth.

"Damien, thank you for coming. Follow me to the kitchen." Linda interrupted, she grabbed Exra's arm and began walking towards the kitchen where breakfast was ready.

Damien sat in one of the ends of the table, while Exra and Linda sat infront of him. Quickly, Ezra pushed his chair back and went to sit next to Damian, leaving both Damien and Linda surprised.

"Alright, Ezra, leaving mommy I see." Linda jokingly said which made Ezra laugh loudly.

Damien smiled at both of them and moved his left hand towards Ezra's head and began petting it.

"Thank you again for coming," Linda mentioned with a shy smile.

"Do not worry," Damien quickly answered, "I wanted to come gladly, be with Ezra and get to know the small guy."

Ezra looked up at the talller man and smiled from ear to ear, he also wanted to get to know Damien.

The three people continued eating their breakfast, sometimes make a small conversation here and there.

Damien had noticed that Ezra was a left-handed person, loving the way the small boy would grab the fork with his hands. It seemed like Ezra was still learning how to grab the fork. Damien also noticed that once in a while Ezra would laugh and smile, as if he was on his own secret world.

Cute. What a cute person.

"Damien....DAMIEN!" Ezra shouted, he has been trying for, what it seemed like eternity, a minute to get Damien's attention. He only wanted Damien's attention.

"I'm sorry sweetheart. You have my attention now, do you need something?" Damien asked looking at the small boy, who had his small arms crosses upon his small chest with a pout painted on his face.

"Does Dee want to see my plushies!" Ezra shouted with excitement.

Damien laughed and petted Exra's head, "Of course, I would love to see your plushies, but after you finish eating. Okay?" Ezra looked down at his, almost, full plate. He looked at Damien and saw the serious face, Ezra pouted and finally agreed.

"Okay."

Linda laughed, so he behaves with Damien, "Anyway, Damien, were you busy when I called? Were you at work, I apologize if that is the case." Linda said.

Damien smiled and responded, "No don't worry. I only work Tuesday and Thursday at the community college."

"Oh my, you're are a professor? You do seem like a professor." Both, Damien and Linda, laughed. Yet, little Ezra was confused.

"Why are you laughing? Don't laugh without Ezra!" a bigger pout formed on his face.

Which caused them to laugh harder. Aw poor Ezra, he's jealous.

"I'm sorry, darling," Linda said while trying to stop laughing, "You can go ahead and take Damien see your plushies. Would you like that?" Without a thought, Ezra grabbed the taller man's hand and quickly walked towards the stairs.

A shock went through both men's hands, the warm feeling they felt while touching each other's hand was something they had never felt before. Something beautiful...like love.
