Fridge light

OkAy- So yesterday 'All too well' was stuck in my head and I was like ooh we could write a oneshot but then I was like uh idk how well I can write a heartbreak one (cause what I write is mostly fluff and our larents are supposed to end up with eachother and I'm not that great of a writer and shit yk) so I picked up one line and made it into a fluff oneshot.

Combination of two lyrics-

Louis worriedly pulled into their driveway. He was late, really late.

He hoped Harry wasn't awake but there he was-,

The lights were dimmed and Fleetwood Mac softly played in the background while he was asleep at the kitchen table, a hand on his bump and the other against his cheek as he softly snored.

"Sun?" Louis gently shook his shoulder. Harry woke with a start.
"You're late." Harry frowned and sat up and sleepily rubbed his eyes.
"I'm so sorry love. You shouldn't have stayed up. Did you have dinner?"
"How could I? You didn't even reply to my messages or answer my calls. I was worried sick!"
"My phone died and I was in the studio, recording the whole day. I'm so sorry. You shouldn't have waited for dinner, it's not good for you or the baby darling." He explained as Harry yawned again.

"You promised not to be back late after we found out about peanut here."
"I had to take this love, it was for the new album you know. We had to finish it today."
"Don't again."
"Okay." He said and slipped Harry's sweater onto him, sensing he was cold. "Promise." He added and kissed his forehead. "Now eat something will you?"
"'M not hungry."
"You have to eat something love." Louis insisted.

Harry got up and walked to the kitchen, Louis following him.

Louis started tea while Harry rummaged through the fridge while clutching his back. Louis hugged him from behind, having missed the familiar warmth for the whole day.

"Backache?" He asked as he wrapped his arms around him and his six month bump.

Harry nodded as he put the jar of orange marmalade and cucumbers on the counter.

"Want me to run you a bath before bed?"
"Aren't you tired?"
"Not as much as you. You're doing so much for me." He said and rubbed his hand over his belly. Harry smiled as he munched on his snack.
"Massage?"
"Okay then." Louis smiled. "Give me a minute."

He quickly went upstairs and changed into his pyjamas before heading back down again.

"I uhm, I wanna dance." Harry shyly mumbled under his breath.
"Hmm?"
"I want to dance." Harry mumbled and fiddled with the hem of his sweater.
"Aw okay baby. Why are you so hesitant?" He asked as he wrapped his hands around his waist and pulled him closer.

"You're like tired from working the whole day and I'm just pregnant and hormonal and I wanted to dance in the kitchen in the middle of the night."

I turned around and the water was closing all around like a glove

"Don't we always do this?" Louis chuckled.
"I dunno." Harry said and hid his face in Louis' neck.

Like the love that finally found me.
Then I knew in the crystaline knowledge of you

"It's quite romantic though."
"Hmm?"
"Dancing in the middle of the night 'round the kitchen in the fridge light."
Louis felt Harry smile against his neck.

to the sea," Louis hummed in Harry's ear and they felt the baby kick, leaving a giggly Harry.

"I love you so much." Louis pressed a kiss against Harry's dimple. He leant down and lifted Harry's shirt and started blowing raspberries, which made Harry giggle more and cover his face with his hands. "And peanut." He smiled as he got up. He moved Harry's hands and placed them on his waist and started peppering his face with kisses.

"L-Lou!" Harry chuckled and held him closer. "I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you!" Harry laughed.

"Dance!"

"What is happening?" Harry sang in a dramatic tone as his hands moved with Louis' waist.

Louis chuckled and helped a sweaty Harry onto a chair, brushing his curls out of his face and giving him another kiss, lingering longer this time.

They pull apart and rest their foreheads together, staring into one another's eyes, smiles etched on their faces.

Times like these were small grains they added to thier hourglass of love and laughter, to their future.
