Chapter-6 A trap

Nightsky's PoV

I put the axe in my back and my sword in its sheath, which was hung in my left hip. Then I started following Scyler to the Shelter he pointed to. When we came we were greeted by a Middle-aged man. He brought us inside, he didn't talk much, must be because I was there. Anyways, we saw a bald guy who was sharpening his Kukri knife, he gave Scyler a not so friendly glare. On heading more forward, We notice two guys playing cards in the corner. The Middle-aged man told us to sit in the corner and to not attract much attention. Then he went outside again. I looked around the place while Scyler sharpened his daggers. The place wasn't much of what u will call comfortable. There wasn't many windows, the ones present had stained glasses in them. They didn't let much light in which made the room dark. There was this weird stench around the whole place. It was similar to the smell of animal fur. There was something about this place I didn't feel right, the people around us, that man who went outside, this smell, almost everything was disturbing me. I spoke to Scyler in a low voice, " Scy, I'm not sure about this place, I think we should leave " but he replied with a worry less expression on his face, " What are you not sure about? eh? just relax, nothing will happen " He pointed his sniper to my face. Triggered, I asked in a calm way, " Do you mind pointing that in another way? Or do you want to shoot me in the head? "" Oh come on! I was just checking my scope, plus even if I did shoot you, what will happen? It's not like everyone will come to kill me " he replied modestly while putting down his sniper, " Don't worry, once that man returns, we can go, ok? Night? " at that I leaned back at my chair and crossed my arms, " Ok ok, will do. But I'm still telling you, this place doesn't seem right "

          I really know something isn't right in this place. But Scyler wasn't ready to leave immediately, I eventually had to wait a little longer. The more we waited for the man to return, the more anxious I got. It had been 20 minutes and the man still hadn't come back. Finally Scyler spoke up, " Ok, this is getting suspicious, where is that man? he hasn't returned, let's go Night " saying this words he got up from his seat, that's when I noticed the two guys playing cards had given him a nasty look. Suddenly, one of them had a small dagger hidden behind his cards, he was about to throw it at Scyler! I at once took out my axe and throwed it at the person killing him instantly. Scyler got alerted and so did the other two people. 

Scyler's PoV

I was shocked to see that this guys were a trap for us. But what was worse was that we walked right into it! Without any second thoughts I at once took out my daggers and threw one of them at the other guy who was playing pokers right before he attack and injured Nightsky. Nightsky took this chance and buried his sword into the man's neck. I concernedly asked him, " You are ok, right Night? "" Yea, I'm fine " He reassured me. I was about to take a breathe of relief when the bald guy stepped forward and spoke, " So? You two really thought that u could just escape? That also so easily? "" Well yeah, pretty much " Came my reply which later I thought was stupid of me. The bald guy wasn't so amused, " Well, not on my watch! " Then he throws small knives at us. Nightsky gets down on the ground while I block one knife with my dagger and dodge the rest by jumping towards the sides. Nightsky rolls towards me and crouches right behind me. " So? what now? " he whispers to me. " I'm thinking, I'm thinking " I replied back trying to think of something. To be honest with myself, I was in a complete fix at that moment. But, god knows how, I came up with something. I explained it to Nightsky then, " Ok, so you will have to distract him by running towards the left and hiding underneath the table "" But how will I do that? won't he throw his knives at me before I reach the table? " He replied worriedly. But I also had a solution for that.

After a few minutes of discussion, Nightsky jumped towards the Right side, managed to dodge his throwing knives, and hid behind one of the fallen tables. When he was distracted, I used my sniper and did a quick shot at his legs. Nightsky took out the axe from the dead person's corpse and doing a quick burst of speed, finished the bald guy off with the axe. "To be honest with ya Night, I didn't really liked him, the bald guy" I said. Then we both ran out. But unfortunately, looks like my old nemesis found me.

The moment we ran out we were surrounded by goons. We both were looking around each other when Scar showed up...
