Chapter-5: A New Weapon

Nightsky's PoV

      I was frozen by all the destruction taking place around me. And as if that wasn't enough, what Scyler told me almost made me crumble! I never actually fought this kind of a battle, so obviously I was nervous and terrified. But then I remember the requests I used to make to Scyler to bring me with him on one of his missions. This was it, my dream was coming true, but at the sometimes I doubted myself whether I will succeed or not. I jut couldn't let down Scyler! I need to be brave and give it all I got. 

             My moment of thoughts was broken by Scyler's talks, " Well, we better get ready. They will be here any second! " to which I replied," Wha-wha-What!? any second!? " "Yeah, what did u expect? " I was terrified even more, first of all, I didn't have any experience, second, there were coming here at any time! There was no way I could be calm at a moment like this. Scyler continued, " It's fine ok? we will win this fight, plus there will be many more " He tried to bring up some courage in me. Suddenly, Scyler shouted, " And here they come! Whooho! Let's go!! "

*Third person mode*

Nightsky drew out his sword and rushed to the first guy. He jumped avoiding the bullets and sliced the person when he landed. Scyler came from behind with a much greater speed, he jumped and ran on a wall twirling in mid air cutting the neck of a gunsman while stabbing the other with his daggers. Suddenly a guy used a turret and started shooting at them, luckily both of them already had taken cover.

Scyler tried to take a peek, but as soon as the guy saw a glimpse of his head, he immediately started shooting. Luckily, non of the bullets hit him. He turned to Nightsky and whispered something on to him, Nightsky nodded his head and when to the opposite direction. They both looked at each other and Scyler gave a signal to him. Nightsky quickly and swiftly went to the other building pulling the attention of the turret. Scyler at once pulled out his sniper from his back and aimed at the turret's magazine which was behind it's shield.

 It would have been impossible to hit it. But Scyler took the shot and pulled the trigger. The bullet flew out of the gun and hit the magazine dead center making the turret explode killing the guy.

Nightsky came out and started praising Scyler. The praising stopped when they both saw more marksman and close-fighters coming for them. " Ready man? " Scyler asked Nightsky who was standing right besides him. " Yup, let's do this! " Nightsky replied while drawing out his sword. Nightsky headed for the close-fighters while Scyler had already taken out a marksman with his sniper. Both of them had taken out all of them in a matter of seconds. 

Suddenly, a guy was slowly walking towards Scyler with a knife in his hand. Scyler wasn't aware of this as he was taking out his dagger out of a death corpse. Nightsky saw the guy and shouted towards Scyler, " Scy! watch out! " but unfortunately he was caught off guard. So Nightsky grabbed an iron-axe swung it around, and at that moment, the axe started glowing. Scyler's eyes was fixed at the smooth movement of both the axe and Nightsky and was surprised with how the axe glowed. The axe flew from Night's hand as when it for the unexpected guy with the knife. It cut right through his head. Scyler was shocked and impressed as the guy's head fell right infront of him. Nightky was also shocked as he didn't expect it to be that deadly. Scyler went near him and praised him, " WoW! Night, I never expected that much from you " " Neither did I to be honest " Came the reply from the shocked Nightsky. " Eh, lets go that place then, I can see some survivors " Scyler said while pointing towards a cave like shelter. " ok " said Nightsky as they started walking towards it.
