Naruto Senju

Chapter 1: Successor to the First

Tsunade had battled in wars yet childcare of Naruto was far more draining. Naruto was a happy child always getting into mischief even at age 1 hiding from Tsunade, Shizune, and Jiraiya. When he was found he say

"You found me"

The only person that ever found the young Senju was Tsunade as when she found him, she would say with a sad smile

"Naru-chann a mother always finds her son"

Naruto always smiled at this remark saying

"I love yo mom" (I know I spelled yo instead of you that is because Naruto is 1)

Tsunade smiled her sad smile as she knew she wasn't his mother. She knew Kuishina would make a great mother if she had the chance.

Tsunade wasn't sure when to tell Naruto about his true parents both Jiraiya and Shizune had suggested that when he enters the academy but Tsunade said that would to early she said she would tell but when she felt the time was right.

Whenever Naruto wasn't hiding, he was causing other kinds of mischief such as drawing on all Jiraiya Icha Icha books making both Tsunade and Shizune very happy. He always scared Tsunade and Shizune by doing things like jumping off his crib and throwing his food at both there faces which didn't scare them just annoyed them. The only time Naruto wasn't causing mischief was when he was asleep. When he was asleep interesting things started occurring. When he was smiling in his sleep the flowers in his room would grow and blossom when he frowned plants and flowers started to die or wither when Tsunade noticed she called Jiraiya and said

"Jiraiya I believe Naruto has Mokuton!"

"WHAT!!" Jiraiya screamed

Which woke up Naruto and he started crying caused Tsunade to punch Jiraiya out of the hotel they were staying at. When Naruto went back to sleep and Jiraiya returned with a black eye he said

"Are you sure the only person who had Mokuton was your grandfather?"

Tsunade replied

"I'm not certain but when he smiles in sleep the flowers in his room bloom and grow when frowns they either die or wither."

Jiraiya thought about and said

"It is possible that bloodline was passed on."

Tsunade asked

"How since no one besides my grandfather ever used it?"

Jiraiya explained

"It is possible that the bloodline was unstable that is why is wasn't passed on but maybe it finally stabilized in Naruto, but we still aren't certain if he actually has it."

Tsunade watched her grandson smile while sleeping and saw the flowers bloom and grow she smiled saying.

"He has it tell Sarutobi-Sensei he would definitely want to know."

Hokage tower

"Are you certain Jiraiya?" the Hiruzen asked

"Yes" replied Jiraiya

Hiruzen waved the ANBU away to continued to talk

"That is amazing only the First was ever able to use Mokuton."

Jiraiya replied

"Well the First is related to Naruto it isn't impossible I hypothesized that the bloodline was to unstable to be passed on to the others, but it finally stabilized in Naruto."

Hiruzen smoked from his pipe and said

"Tsunade must be extremely worried to bring Naruto back to Village."

Jiraiya replied

"Yes, she is Danzo would try to use Naruto and reveal the secrets about him to make him turn against Tsunade."

Hiruzen sighed

"She must tell him about his heritage before they return otherwise, he will turn against her."

Jiraiya looked at his sensei and said

"Both me and Shizune have tried but she is to afraid this wants to tell him after he finishes in the academy, but I believe she just keep pushing it away."

Hiruzen looked out the window and thought about what Danzo could do to the village if he used Naruto then spoke and said

"You know what Danzo will do and I know deep down Tsunade does to tell her this maybe she will tell him sooner."

"Yes sensei" replied Jiraiya.

Back at the Hotel

"NO JIRAIYA IT IS WAY TOO SOON!!" screamed Tsunade

Naruto was out with Shizune, so he didn't hear this. Jiraiya then said

"Hima I not saying you tell him today hell he wouldn't understand but when he is 6 you need to tell him he will be angry but the longer you wait the more it will hurt him."

Tsunade started to cry and said

"I—I know you are right I have to tell him otherwise Danzo will manipulate him."

She continued to sob Jiraiya held her and said.

"I know he will defiantly be angry, but he will understand why you didn't tell him right away plus he loves you too much to stay anger to long he rarely ever frowns anyway."

Tsunade smiled and said

"I promise I'll tell him on his 6th Birthday."

Jiraiya smiled and said

"Thanks, Hima."

Tsunade stared out the window and saw Shizune return with Naruto. Tsunade saw how large his smile was and hoped that Naruto would understand why she waited. She hoped he wouldn't hate her and that his smile would stay that large as that always cheered her up.

That's the end of chapter 1 I know the way I showed Naruto having wood release was kind of lame but remember he is only a year old. The next chapter will be a time skip to his 6th birthday. I know I haven't really used Shizune at this point, but I'll try to include her more in the story line.
