the days dragged by, nothing eventful had happened. and then cat came, and then now spencer stood before you with derek, looking angrier than all hell.

spencer takes one good look at you, at scoffs. he begins to walk away but derek grabs his arm. "nuh uh pretty boy, you sit your pretty ass down in that room and talk to her."

luke lets spencer through, stepping out and letting go of your hand at the very last second. little did you know that this would be one of the biggest mistakes you'd ever make.

silence engulfs you when you turn to see spencer. if there was something about spencer that didn't scare you before, it was the way he was standing here now that certainly did. his anger radiated in powerful waves, there was never a time spencer felt like somebody was telling the truth, but he never thought.

"you of all goddamn people y/n. you of all goddamn people in my life! you know that there's always something going on that i don't know about but you would do this to me? i have been going to you for everything, especially shit about cat, and you don't once have the decency to tell me that you're sisters?"

"spencer it's not like that—"

"well please do fucking tell me y/n, what is it really like? because let me tell you what it looks like from here y/n." spencer stands and walks up towards you but stops a good 6ft away. "you, my one good friend, who's always been there for me and cared about me and has done nothing wrong to or for me, looks like a fucking liar right now. she told me that she didn't know cat when cat pointed her out at the BAU. she told me to watch out for cat. she told me that cat was fucking vile and that cat was a loose canon, but the whole time she didn't have the decency to tell me that one part she left out. the one part that she could tell morgan and luke, but not the person it actually affected. because she's too worried about luke and who's luke with and who's luke talking to, instead of telling her best friend the truth. now cat has intel, and now she knows. so congratulations y/n, if cat didn't know before that we tried to get together, she sure as fuck knows now. are you happy?"

you were left speechless. spencer was extremely hurt. every word out of his mouth felt like an individual scream, telling you that you could've helped but you didn't. you hated knowing you had just ruined your relationship with spencer. you hated knowing that cat was coming for you any second now.

you just didn't think it would be this fast.

"surprise."

you turn to see cat with a knife, running for spencer, but the last thing you can do right now is throw yourself in front of him. you don't have time, and if he got stabbed he would only be more angry at you.

"y/n! what're you doing! stop!"

"y/n, move!"

you push spencer back with your shoulders and suddenly feel an extremely sharp pain in your belly button. she pulls the knife out and morgan grabs cat, hotch grabbing the knife. you fall to the ground instantly, your vision blurring then returning.

"y/n!" spencer's voice sounded so distant. you had turned your head to see him, you shake your head at him with tears in your eyes.
