Aubrey sat in the living room, as an uneasy feeling came over. Like when you know something bad will happen. In fact, as of this moment she was already convincing herself of the horrible things to come, what an awful day it was going to be, though it seemed the world quite disagreed with her sentiment. It was a beautiful day outside- the wind danced through the grass, the sun graced the ground with it's golden rays, which felt quite nice in contrast to all the cold they'd been having.

Really, Aubrey thought with a slight frown. Any rational human would be under the impression it would be a splendid day today.

But for some reason, that just sat worse with her. She grabbed a cup of what she thought was cocoa off of the table and took a sip, immediately spitting out the coffee. Oh yeah, it was going to be an awful day. She sighed and stood up, almost tripping over her dog Aurthor, who seemed insistent on sitting down exactly where she was trying to put her feet.

"Smooth move." Leon said, suddenly popping out of the kitchen like some deranged jack in the box. Aubrey just raised an eyebrow, before continuing back to go upstairs. "So." Leon said, following her. "I've got friends coming over, so try not to embarrass me too much." Aubrey just turned and grinned at him, and his expression became much more serious.

"Please. Not even joking here, it's kinda been hard to make friends since... You know."

Aubrey pursed her lips and nodded. Ever since Leon had come out, half the town pretty much acted like he had some contagious disease. Thank God Leon was the kind of kid who wouldn't just take that stuff, the second he heard anyone saying anything remotely homophobic Leon would happily toss a rock at them. Which of course, Aubrey didn't approve of but... She wasn't exactly going to get mad at him either.

"Okay, okay I'll try not to embarrass you. But if you drown any more of my books you are getting it." He rolled his eyes and muttered, "One time." Before stalking off to his bedroom, which by the way, was beginning to stink. She grabbed a bottle of air freshener off the counter and sprayed in the direction of his room, which earned her the finger from him.

Aubrey just sighed and walked into her room to read a book. Soon though, she heard the knock on the front door. Aubrey grinned and raced to the door, opening it before Leon could show up.

"Hi! Are you here to speak with Leon?" Aubrey smiled wider when she saw Leon's outraged face from the corner of her eyes. She snorted, and quickly covered it up with a cough. A guy and girl stood in the doorway, both peeking behind her at Leon. The girl nudged the boy, who just kept staring at Leon with an expression that said 911.

The girl cleared her throat and said in a rather high pitched and obnoxious voice,

"Yes. Would you be ever so bothered to get out of our way?" Aubrey just widened her grin.

"Of course not!" She said, stepping out of their way. They immediately rushed upstairs to Leon's room, and Leon managed to shoot her one last murderous look before running upstairs behind them. Well, that was going to be a problem. But, a problem for future Aubrey. She thought with a small smile. As she walked to her room though, she saw Leon giving her the death glare from the door of his room. Sooo this could be a small problem. Aubrey frowned as she closed her door behind her.

She really hoped she hadn't actually caused any problems with his friends, that would kind of suck. A lot. She sighed and put her head in her hands for the count of three. Then she got up and started folding and putting away some laundry. Unfortunately, she could hear this girl's obnoxious laughter through the wall, and Leon's jokes at her expense.

So that was going well. Soon, she got a headache from listening to them talk in the other room, the other boy's stupid laugh, and the girls high pitched giggle. She groaned and finally got up to go get an ibuprofen. Putting her hand to her head, she closed her eyes and walked downstairs, only tripping over the dog once, which of course meant a chorus of snickers from the other room.
