Dream POV (Third person)

He felt the cold air hit his skin, Dreams cheeks had slowly become redder and redder as the cold hit his face. It felt calming not wearing the mask for once, no one around. Just him in the white landscape, snowflakes roaming around in the sky like if they were dancing. He smiled at the sight, it all reminded him of his early journeys.

Every time he passed what was left from a village once filled with people and laughter Dream couldn't help but feel guilty. He had done everything he could to stop them, to stop him. If anyone could make a difference it would be Dream. But he failed, everyone saw him as a traitor. It didn't matter what choice he made that day, all options would make him feel terrible. He still misses home sometimes, for every step in the snow he takes a new thought, a new memory flashes in front of his eyes. He doesn't mind how cold he is, how much his feet and legs hurt from walking and running without rest or how tired he is from never really resting. That isn't what hurts the most, all he really wants... is to let go.

Y/n POV (Third person)

She looked up at the tower with a spark of determination in her eyes. She ignored all the memories, she ignored everything. All she focused on was climbing up that ladder. One moment at a time. Slowly making her way forward.

She looked out over the edge, it was even prettier than she remembered. Those mountains with snow filled peaks were shining like diamonds. Dark oak forests were framing the plain grass right under the tower she stood on. Y/n placed her hand on the wall, feeling the warm wood against her sweaty palm. She couldn't help but smile at the tear slowly falling over her cheek. Was she really that weak? She had managed to survive in this world alone for years. And now she met a guy who instantly ripped her heart out. Did she really feel that way? Or was she just starving from human contact. Starving for the warmth from another person?

She took out the crossbow and attached it to her arm. Y/n replayed his instructions in her head. "Examine your shot placement in your target, and make adjustments to your sites if necessary. Then it is time to shoot." She almost fell on her back as the heavy arrow left its place on the crossbow. She ran back to the edge looking down towards her intended target. The cow laid down on the ground with the arrow sticking out from its side. A proud smile covered her face. His voice echoed in her head, and this time she let those words be there, she earned it. "Good job Y/n'' She sighed and reloaded the crossbow. "Thank you dream"

Sapnap POV (Third person)

Sweat slowly ran along his back, the moist air filled the stone tunnel. It was almost hard to breath. At some parts of the cave he had to drag his hands under the sleeves because of the cold. Now his clothes stuck tight to Sapnap's body. They almost got everything they needed, him and George had grinded harder than ever before. With almost no breaks for sleep and food they gathered the diamonds necessary for tools, enchantment table and armour.

His tired arms once again hit the stone with the power he had energy to cause. The metal broke through the stone and a hot fluid escaped from the hole. The warmth in the tunnel escalated and Sapnap was close to passing out. The heat was everywhere, his head was pounding and the pickaxe fell off his hands hitting the floor with a loud bump. He grabbed the wall with both hands keeping himself from falling to the ground too. The lava slowly ran closer and closer to his feet. Nick knew he had to get away from there, that he had to escape. But his legs weren't moving, he felt numb due to the extreme heat. He tried to scream but the warm air silenced him before he could make a sound. Sapnap's hands fumbled over the walls trying to get him enough strength to move. The sharp stone made him aware of the sweat on his palms. It almost made him forget the lava that slowly made its way towards him.

He gritted his teeth, knowing that his life depended on finding a solution quickly. He had to think like his normal state that wasn't affected by tiredness, hunger or heat. A picture of the white mask flashed in his mind. What would Dream do? Sapnap asked himself. The faceless man always seemed to have a solution for everything.

His right hand left the wall, it searched his pockets knowing it should be there somewhere. It had to, or else... or else it would be too late.

(Flashback)

"Where are we going?" He asked looking at the purple light. The light were dancing in circles, it almost looked like the light was trapped between the oblisian. Nick moved his sight towards Dream, he was tall and intimidating. But Nick refused to let himself look scared in front of the masked man. "We are going to the nether" He could hear Dream smirking behind the mask of his. "Sapnap" He looked over to George, still not used to the nickname. "Yeah?" "You will need this"

(End of flashback)

He held the small bottle in his hand. Trying to open the cap that held it cealed. With shaky and sweaty hands it opened revealing the orange fluid. He slowly moved the bottle to his lips almost passing out. He had so little energy left.

Heat took over his body, the hole keeping the lava away got bigger and a flood of lava covered his entire cave. He felt a strong smell of burning flesh, his burning flesh. Sapnap opened his eyes feeling the lava hit his eyeballs. It hurt but the fire resistance kept him alive. It felt like swimming in slow motion while not being able to see anything. It was horrifying.

He took a deep breath, oxygen filling his dry lungs. Sapnaps skin was still burning, he had to get away from there, fast. His body still lacked of energy and his movements were slow and powerless. He looked in every tunnel expecting to see his short friend getting disappointed every time.

One more tunnel he thought. Forcing himself to slowly move forward. "George?" He whispered in need of help, of human warmth to forget the feeling of lava covering his whole body and to forget the smell of his own flesh burning. The sight of Sapnap's friend made tears fill his eyes out of all the stress coming up to the surface. He rubbed his eyes to get rid of the tears that almost dropped down on his cheeks. Sapnap expected to see his friend when he opened his eyes. But George wasn't there, this time he couldn't stop his own tears. They covered his face that this time really was like an exhausted mess. He curled into a ball on the ground comforting himself while slowly falling asleep.
