━ ATHENA DOXON hated attention. She hated how lingering eyes would watch her every move, picking up all of her timid gestures. Which were a quick reflex, put on display due to all the anxiousness following through her veins. Forever hiding behind the shadows of others. That's how she wanted to spend her life; allowing them to be full center of the every day spotlight.
Besides her hatred for unwanted acknowledgement, Athena was your typical college student. Spending hours out of her day to day life studying for semester exams, and making sure all of her assignments were complete. Destined to make something out of herself, and follow in the footsteps of her parents. Whom had taught her that the only way to gain success is to prevail over failure ─ to prevail over any obstacle blocking the young girls path.
Never in a million years would she expect that obstacle to be the dead roaming the Earth!
It was her twentieth birthday when she received the worst gift of them all ─ having her everyday life turn into a figment of pure imagination. Existing in a world that was no longer fit for the living, instead being ruled by the dead. Whom had zero knowledge of their own evolution, only having the instinct to feed upon those who reeked of flesh.
The world became infested with an infectious disease; one that spread within the blink of a blind eye. At first the young girl was scared, until she realized that there was no time for fear. Fear got you killed. Hiding within the cracks of ones moral capacity, inferring with ones ability to strive.
Athena learned that early on; coming to a conclusion that the only way to survive a doomed life, was to aspire death. A harsh reminder that peace didn't ensue until you took one final breath. However, she didn't want peace for she had found it. Hiding deep within herself; recalling every memory she had left of him.
