ATHENA STARED UP AT THE SKY; securing her vision onto every snowflake that rained down from the cloudy sky above. Finding an infatuation onto how the icy particles glided down from the so-called 'heavens' falling for a landing on porcelain skin, and melting under her touch.
A sensory reminder that the girl was in fact still alive, and the cold sensation of snow falling down onto her body proved that she was still able to feel pure bliss.
Time stood frozen as she remained standing there, indulged in the moment. Feeling as if there were nothing wrong in the world, and that the portrayal of perfection still hung onto their everyday life.

That was how she wanted to spend the rest of her life; trapped in bliss created by something as simple as snowfall. However, she knew living in a world like that now was simply impossible. ━ But it didn't stop her from forgetting all about the cruel domain she was existing in for a few moments.

Athena outstretched her arms, tilting her head back as she closed her eyes finding solace in how the snow clung against her coat. Slowly catching an assortment of each uniquely printed snowflake in her open hands. Allowing her palms to go numb under the icy influence, but she didn't mind.
Preferable she would rather stay that way, because remaining numb meant she didn't have to feel anything at all.

Nowadays the worst feeling of all was knowing that you were still alive, when the entire planet had already dropped dead.

"Maybe, the snow isn't so bad after all" Tye noted, with the tiniest laugh turning his gaze off of the sky and focusing his sharp eyesight onto the girl standing next to him.
Watching the snow plummet to the ground was quite breathtaking, but in Tye's eyes it wasn't as breathtaking as the appearance of happiness making a return on Athena's face.

Athena hadn't smiled this big in a while, but just the sight of the rare occurrence made her forget about all the terror in the world that was collapsing right before her own eyes. All she cared about was this moment. Particularly the way the snowflakes landed onto her bare cheeks; numbing the portion of skin as it turned into a rosy shade of red.
This was her first time witnessing the act of true snowfall since she was a young teenager, which intuited nostalgia to flow throughout her veins. Creating an impeccable sensation; a sensation she had almost forgotten.

Her thoughts of euphoria snapped away as she turned her full attention back over to the boy who stood close beside her. Noticing the white snow bring out his dark complexion, as the individual flakes stayed still against his swarthy features.
"It isn't!" Athena insured, brightly smiling up at Tye's tall frame in the process. Immediately leading to him to return the gesture; growing lost in her deep blue gaze.
Seeing the reflection of snow cast within her pupils, like her eyes were his own personal snow globe.

He could never grow tired of looking at her. In fact, Tye would rather watch the world go on through her eyesight ━ he was much more fond of perceiving life that way.
