Ito's and Todoroki's
You begin to tell Shoto about your day and how you saved a handsome blonde boy from a disgusting slimy villain. Shoto wasn't much of a talker but a listener, he rarely talked, you were the only person around his age he was allowed to be friends with. His father thought of you as an opportunity rather than a distraction.
"You know (y/n) it's dangerous to use your quirk without a licence outside, right?" Shoto asked and stated in a monotone voice.
"Huh? Yeah, obviously but I have been training with you for a reason, my little shoto." you extended your arm to tap his nose but he flinched away. Everything went silent.
"Hey..." you said in a low voice enough for him to hear. He hummed in response to indicate he was listening. "Does he still abuse you the way he did when we were kids?" you knew this was a sensitive topic to bring up but you didn't want your childhood best friend to still be going through that. Shoto stayed silent.
"You have to tell me, please. I can't have you still be going through that. You can't be his puppet al-"
"I'M NOT- his puppet." Your eyes widen, this was the first time Shoto has raised his voice at you.
"I'm sorry," you whispered. "um- well anyways I have to go home now and get ready... because we are having dinner at your house right?" you said as if nothing happened.
"Yeah, see you later."
"Mhm-" you walked out the door and gave Shoto a little wave with a weak smile.
'Don't cry, don't cry, don't be weak.' you continued to chant to yourself until you reached their front door.
"Fuyumi! I'm going home now, see you later tonight," you yelled out to her. She peeked out of the kitchen to see your figure by the door.
"Oh yeah, see you later. By the way, is Mayumi coming too?"
"Yeah, you guys can finally catch up," you said while giving her one of your famous fake smiles.
"ok, that sounds good, see you later then. Sorry, I can't send you off but I can call shoto to walk you."
"No do-"
"SHOTO! COME HERE AND WALK (Y/N) ME!" she shouted loud enough out so Shoto could hear.
"Hmmm-" you hummed in frustration, you did not want to walk in an awkward silence after the small argument you had.
"Yeah, sure I can walk her," Shoto walked into sight with a light navy shirt that he has recently put on.
"Take a picture, it will last longer," you giggled out. "But no seriously I have to go stop being slow," you said trying to break the awkward tension that had been built.
