Ferns snatched at the felines side; his paws trudged through the thick earth that was churned into mud from the previous rainfall. His narrow yellow eyes darted from thicket to thicket as he cautiously paced. Moonlight was dappled from the trees leaves illuminating the white felines flank. The young tom shortly neared a fallen beech tree, where a black and white speckled cat crouched, ready to leap.
"Bloomsnarl! There you are I was-"
The tom glanced over his shoulder blade, gazing the casted shadows for any sorts of other life forms.
"I need to speak with you."
His tone was serious, something that was hard to notice in the childish deputy. Bloomsnarl stared at the white tom with utter confusion, his maw dropped a touch.
"Lightstrike? I am late to my meeting with the other medicine cats what do you want now?"
Bloomsnarl hissed under his breath, keeping his voice low. The vitiligo feline spun around on his haunches to face the other tom, keeping his watchful gaze on him. Once again Lightstrike glanced around the forest ,in search for any sound of rustling or the sound of a snapped twig, to which he eventually snapped his head back round to the medicine cat.
"It's important. I saw something- a vision-"
He was interrupted by a harsh flick of the medicine cats tail, followed by an unimpressed stare.
"Alright Lightstrike, did this "vision" include forests full of prey and you as leader?"
The deputy scowled at his response, lashing his tail behind his haunches.
"No it wasn't like that, in fact is had nothing to do with me. I was standing in a forest with feathers snagged on branches and bushes.. then suddenly an oak tree sprouted in front of me and-"
Bloomsnarl again stopped him with a small hiss.
"I don't have time for your stupid dreams Lightstrike, your probably dreaming about a bird you ate. Now I actually need to get somewhere so if you don't mind-"
Lightstrike darted infront of the medicine cat, blocking his way from leaping onto the fallen tree. His hackles prickled upwards whilst frustration clawed at his paws.'I know what I saw wasn't any stupid dream.'
"Just.. when you speak with StarClan, ask them or..something"
He suddenly realised how threatening he had appeared so with a reluctant sigh, he stepped out of the patched medicine cats way. Bloomsnarl appeared baffled and his own fur was fluffed outwards slightly, but he had eventually shook himself from his fear and nodded a reply.
"Yes.. I will."
Lightstrike flicked his rounded ear in response, turning his vibrant yellow hues away from the troubled tom. Then, he listened to the sound of claws scraping against a wooden surface and with another glance, Bloomsnarl was gone.'I am sure this wasn't any stupid dream.. I'll have to wait on a reply from StarClan before I jump to conclusion, I guess.'
