[Back to Dream because i can and i will]
Dream seeked George out the next day. Their talk the night prior had been abrupt and a little awkward, but nonetheless Dream wanted to get to know George more. It would be nice to meet the guy properly.
"Dream!" Sapnap called, and Dream whipped to see if George was with him. When his face fell, Sapnap quizzically tilted his head. "What's up?"
"I... kinda wanted to see George. I guess." Dream shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck shyly.
Sapnap took a moment, then his eyes widened.
"Dude-!"
"I don't like him, Sapnap!" Dream said, a little too loud. A few people around them- some freshmen, seemingly- looked at him weirdly. It was a blonde boy and his brunette friend, who had a mask decorated with bees and flowers. The blonde's mask had swords on it.
Dream lowered his voice. "We talked last night, and... well, his roses are chamrock green. I have suspicions, but... nothing too serious."
Sapnap nodded along, his eyes clouded with disbelief. He still acted like he belived his friend, though, which Dream appreciated.
"Alright, Lover Boy."
"Hey-"
Sapnap had grabbed Dream's hand and was basically dragging him to their lockers.
"You're crushing my hand, Sapnap."
Sapnap let go of Dream's hand. "Sorry."
"You're good." Dream accompanied his short sentence with a smile, although it didn't do much, as the mask hid it. He did his best to show his sincerity through his voice.
"Okay, so we're lookin' for Bad, Skeppy, and Karl." Sapnap's voice softened almost unnoticably at his soulmate's name.
"And George," Dream added.
"And your soulmate," Sapnap corrected.
Dream whacked Sapnap's arm, who in return burst out laughing.
"You'd think with how much you hit him," Skeppy came up to the duo, "he'd be better at dodging."
"I can dodge just fine," Sapnap managed between laughs, "I just choose not to."
"Well, maybe in a few weeks your bruised arms will convince you to get some better brain cells."
"Burn," Dream muttered, raising his eyebrows at Sapnap and smiling.
"Oh, shut the hell up," Sapnap rolled his eyes, attempting to hit Skeppy and missing.
"See? Dodging."
Sapnap scoffed. He was acting all butthurt, but they had been friends for too long, and the other two knew he wasn't honestly mad.
"Can we go to our lockers now? I wanna see Bad," Skeppy whined, earning a subtle eyeroll from Dream and noticable eyeroll from Sapnap. The man practically saw his brain with how far back they went.
"Ugh, love."
"You have a soulmate, too! Two, in fact," Skeppy retorted.
"Whatever, I'm not as lovesick as you two are."
"Two?" Skeppy looked at Dream, and man, if looks could kill.
"I don't have a soulmate. I have an idea on who it could be, but I don't know for sure."
"Ah."
"Uh-huh. Does Mister Found know that too~?" Sapnap teased.
Skeppy watched and sighed as Sapnap earned another couple of bruises on his arm.
